Tequila & The Beach - All Inclusive 6 Days, 5 Nights
The area surrounding the city of Tequila boasts a wealth of volcanic soil, making it an ideal environment for the growth of the blue agave plant. Over 300 million blue agave plants are harvested in this region annually, many of which are used in the production of the beverage Tequila. A legendary drink ingrained in Mexican tradition, Tequila has become a symbol of Mexico, and we can think of no better way to celebrate it than with one of our Tequila Tours. Visit the state of Jalisco, home to the city for which the drink is named. Tour the Cuervo and Sauza distilleries for a glimpse into the methods of Tequila-making. Stay on the grounds of the tequila factory La Cofriada, and of course, try the national drink of Mexico in various forms. This tour also takes a scenic trip through the famed Sierra Madre Mountains and culminates in a relaxing stay on the sandy beaches of Puerto Vallarta. Tour Breakdown
DAY 1 – GUADALAJARA (INCL. DINNER) Arrive at Guadalajara International airport and check in to the hotel. A walking tour of the historical district will be available for those who arrive by early afternoon. Enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant, including an introduction to Mexico’s national drink to kick off your Tequila Tour.
DAY 2 – GUADALAJARA AND TLAQUEPAQUE (INCL. ALL MEALS) In the morning, visit Tlaquepaque, a village known worldwide for its spectacular arts and crafts, including blown glass and pottery. After lunch at a village eatery, continue perusing the shops or visit the cultural museums. Depart in the afternoon to the Valley of Tequila, where dinner will be served at a restaurant near the Presa de la Vega. Finally, check in to your hotel located on the property of La Cofriada Tequila factory.
DAY 3 – CITY OF TEQUILA (INCL. ALL MEALS) Spend the morning with your choice of activity: hiking and repelling, harvesting agave with a Jimador, or relaxing on the grounds of La Cofriada. Then, head into the town of Tequila for lunch and a tour of both the Cuervo and Suaza distilleries, where you will learn about the process of tequila production. Double: $1,265 DAY 4 – SIERRA MADRE (INCL. ALL MEALS) Start the day with breakfast at the hotel before heading to Puerto Vallarta. Travel through the scenic Sierra Madre Mountains and check in for an all-inclusive three-night stay at the Puerto Vallarta Resort.
DAY 5 – PUERTO VALLARTA (INCL. ALL MEALS) Relax on the gorgeous beach or explore the town; today is a day of leisure.
DAY 6– PUERTO VALLARTA (INCL. ALL MEALS) Enjoy another day of leisure with optional activities to be determined.
DAY 7 – RETURN FLIGHT (INCL. BREAKFAST) Say farewell with breakfast at the hotel then transfer to the airport for flight your home.
