My colleagues and I across children’s services will continue to work in strong partnership with you to deliver this as a priority. We must support each and every child and young person in Walsall to be the very best that they can be and have high aspirations, expectations and ambitions for their future. I know and have seen a lot of good work going on across the education sector to improve the outcomes and life chances of children and young people across the borough. This is very encouraging and is making a difference, but we still have significant challenges to address to ensure the best outcomes for all Walsall children and young people, particularly the most disadvantaged and vulnerable. It is evident that schools are working together to share their strengths and challenge and support each other. The strong partnership working between schools, with teams across Children’s Services, the wider Council and other partners is central to support children to achieve their best. This is some good innovation in the regard. I am committed to ensuring that we continue to develop these partnerships and continue to collaborate with one another to provide every child in Walsall with the best possible education, joined up support and access to services. We are on an improvement trajectory in Education and Children’s Services and I am confident that we will continue this positive work to meet the challenges that lie ahead. Thank you for all your continued hard work, commitment and the unique part that you play in helping us to achieve our vision that Walsall Children are safe, happy and learning well, with self-belief, aspiration and support to be their best. I hope you find this directory a helpful resource. My very best wishes.
