Von Dr. Ph. Bertkau in Bonn. Aurivillius theilte einige biologisclie Beobaclitungen mit, die er in Uppland gemacht hatte; Entom. Tidskr. 1887 S. f. Das Weib- chen eines grossen Gallinsektes anf der Zitterpappel und Erle legte seine Eier in einen weissen Ueberzug von Fäden; dennoch fand ein Parasit aus der Abtheilung der Myrmariden mit gefransten Flügeln Zugang zu denselben. — Aus einem einzigen Ei von Smerinthus Populi erhielt er bis zu 20 Pteromalinen. — Auf der Esche fand er die einer kleinen Nacktschnecke ähnliche Larve des seltenen Cionus Fraxini. — Eine Crabronide hatte ihre Zellen regelmässig mit je 3 gelähmten Exem- plaren eines Syrphus verproviantirt; die Zeichnung des Hinterleibes des Syi'phus hatte eine grosse Aehnlichkeit mit dem des Crabroniden, der sich in der Art nie irrte. Vielleicht wird die Fliege durch diese Aehnlichkeit veranlasst, ihren Feind für einen Artgenossen zu halten. Bei dem Crabroniden schmarozt eine Fliege, die grosse Aehnlichkeit mit Xysta striginervis zeigt, aber wahrscheinlich eine neue Art ist. — Gallen von Teras terminahs waren sehr zahlreich; aus einzelnen derselben kamen nur Männchen, aus anderen nur Weibchen zum Vorschein; letztere waren ausnahmslos geflügelt, während dieselben im südlichen Schweden ungeflügelt sind. — Endlich erwähnt er einige seltene Schmetterlinge, die im Roslagen erbeutet wurden, darunter zwei neue für Schweden. Im Gegensatz zu den Gegenden gemässigten Klimas, wo die Fort- pflanzung der genannten Klassen zumeist in den Sommer fällt, findet das Eierlegen in den Tropen während der nassen Jabreszeit statt; „im Sommer ist alles in Schlaf versunken". Karsch macht auf ein älteres System der Insekten nach den Charakteren der Puppe, nämlich das Newman's, aufmerksam und findet in demselben bereits die Eintheilung der Fliegen in die beiden Abtheilungen Brauer 's ausgesprochen; Entom. Nachr. 1887. S. 292 f. Brauer zeigt, dass die Newman'schen beiden Gruppen Amorpha dermata und A. adermata nach anderen Principien aufgestellt sind, als seine Dipt. orthorrhapha und cyclorrhapha; ebenda b. 329 —332. Onthe System atic positionof theMallophaga hielt Packard vor der Americ. Philosoph. Soc. am 2. Sept. 1887 einen Vortrag, der in den Proceed. S. 264—272 abgedruckt ist. Packard, der bereits früher die Mallophagen seiner Ordnung Platyptera zugewiesen hatte, findet nach der Darstellung der Mundtheile, wie sie Grosse von Tetrophthalmus gegeben hat, diese Ansicht vollkommen berechtigt, und weist in einzelnen die Analogieen und Verschiedenheiten nach. Speziell finden sich die meisten Analogieen mit den Psociden. Während aber bei diesen das Labrum frei vom Clypeus

This text defines in particular the criteria for an area to be qualified for designation as a biosphere reserve (Article 4). In addition, Article 9 foresees a periodic review every ten years The periodic review is based on a report prepared by the relevant authority, on the basis of the criteria of Article 4. The periodic review must be submitted by the national MAB Committee to the MAB Secretariat in Paris. The text of the Statutory Framework is presented in the third annex. The form which follows is provided to help States prepare their national reports in accordance with Article 9 and to update the Secretariat's information on the biosphere reserve concerned. This report should enable the International Coordinating Council (ICC) of the MAB Programme to review how each biosphere reserve is fulfilling the criteria of Article 4 of the Statutory Framework and, in particular, the three functions: conservation, development and support. Nat. Croat., Vol. 30, No. 1, 37–52, 2021, Zagreb. From 2016 to 2020 numerous surveys were undertaken to improve the knowledge of the pyraloid moth fauna of Biokovo Nature Park. On August 27th, 2020 one specimen of Psorosa mediterranella (Amsel, 1954) from the family Pyralidae was collected on a small meadow (985 m a.s.l.) on Mt Biok- ovo. In this paper, the first data about the occurrence of this species in Croatia are presented. The previ- ous mention in the literature for Croatia was considered to be a misidentification of the past and has thus not been included in the checklist of Croatian pyraloid moth species. P. mediterranella was recorded for the first time in Croatia in recent investigations and, after other additions to the checklist have been counted, is the 396th species in the Croatian pyraloid moth fauna. An overview of the overall pyraloid moth fauna of Croatia is given in the updated species list.     Conogethes punctiferalis Scientific Name Conogethes punctiferalis (Guenée, 1854) (Astura) Synonyms: Astura punctiferalis Guenée, 1854 Botys nicippealis Walker, 1859 Deiopeia detracta Walker, 1859 Astura guttatalis Walker, 1866 Taxonomic Note: Conogethes and Dichocrocis have been considered synonyms in the older literature; and punctiferalis is often seen combined with Dichocrocis (Wang, 1980). Conogethes punctiferalis has been a species complex (Solis, 1999) and difficult to identify at the species level. There has been no taxonomic revision of Conogethes to separate species or range within the genus (Robinson et al., 1994). Inoue and Yamanaka (2006) re- described C. punctiferalis and described two new closely allied species that have been confused with C. punctiferalis in the literature. This study illustrates and clearly describes the external morphology and genitalic Figures 1 & 2. They state that the synonyms above should be “critically reconsidered” and do not include them in their synonymy. Species in this complex have very similar morphology, variable color morphs, and overlapping host ranges (Armstrong, 2010). Einleitung Schon kurze Zeit nach Erscheinen der Zusammenfassung aller bisher ge­ meldeten Meldungen über die Mikrolepidopteren Zyperns (Arenberger 1995) liegen wieder zahlreiche noch unveröffentlichte Funde aus Zypern vor. Es handelt sich insbesondere um Aufsammlungen von J. Wimmer in den Jahren 1993-1995 in der Umgebung von Paphos. Die bisherigen Sam­ melergebnisse bezogen sich einerseits auf den Norden der Insel, der Um­ gebung von Kyrenia, und andererseits auf das gebirgige Zentrum im Troodos-Gebirge sowie das Küstengebiet des Südens (Karte siehe bei Arenberger 1995). Jetzt können auch Angaben über die Fauna des westli­ chen Teiles der Insel gemacht werden. Ergänzt wird der vorliegende Beitrag durch restliche Arten aus den Aus­ beuten K. Entom. vol. ix, enu­ merated a new genus Nomis (= Udea), two new species Sylepta quadri­ maculalis, Udea albopedalis, the latter is the genotype of Nomis, and an unrecorded species Pyrausta sambucalis SCHIFF. et DEN. In regard to Sylepta quadrimaculalis MOTSCH., this species was originally placed under genus Botyodes, and with its specific name Sylepta quadrimaculalis was already given by KOLLER for a Pyralid-moth in 1844, while G.
