What the hell is happening @ WOODWARDS building in East Vancouver? A call for a solidarity demo @ abbot & Hastings Dec. 14 at 11am for people who question the Dominion Hotel deal announced to the media via Jim L. without telling all the squatters first.

Are we going to stay or abandon our Squat with no guarantees or anything in writing from the govts- city ofVancouver/ province of "bc"/ or the Federal government ofCanada that the WOODWARDS BUILDING WILL BE SOCIAL HOUSING FOR THE POOREST PEOPLE OF CANADA -IN THEDOWNTOWN EASTSIDE. All we squatters have been told via the media- radio tonight - is the Dominion Hotel signed a contract with the city ofVancouver for 2 months "free" rent starting tomorrow@ 12 noon. IF the squatters have more data . + direct talks with the city officials/ mayor/coucillor" rather than political oppotunists like Jim Leydon who controls the Woodwards Social Housing Coalition bank account + does not even tell the Squatters at what bank we have or give us the bank book accounts except to tell us this week we have no more $money

This is a request to all people /Organizations/ unions that have donated $ /food / clothing or whatever to ask Jim + the others to give us the proofofwhere the Money went + why it was mismanaged tents are too small - people are getting sick/cold! are often hungly/ thousands ofdollars stolen+ donations ripped offWhy do non squatters have control ofthe money + not have the financial records available for all on the woodsquat website?

It is the People ofBC who donated the money $ to th~ Squatters at the Woodwards building + we all have a right to know where it was spent + who decided on the often bad decisions to spend it all + now all they tell us squatters is we are broke.

We Squatters+ the citizens who donated want + deserve real answers not a shrug + no records.
