Spored izmenite vo Zakonot za osnovno obrazovanie (“Sl. vesnik na Republika Makedonija” broj 51/2007) od u~ebnata 2007/2008 godina osnovnoto obrazovanie vo Republika Makedonija trae 9 godini (devetoletka) i e zadol`itelno za site deca od 6-godi{na vozrast. Kaj srednite u~ili{ta (redovni, specijalni, verski), pokraj brojot na u~ili{tata, se obezbeduvaat podatoci i za paralelkite, u~enicite po pol, po struka, po vremetraewe na obrazovnite programi i po op{tini, u~enici spored vozrasta i godinata na u~ewe, spored u~eweto stranski jazik (prv i vtor zadol`itelen i fakultativen). Isto taka, prezentirani se brojni podatoci za nastavnicite spored vidot na rabotniot odnos, polot, vozrasta, fondot na ~asovi i stepenot na stru~na podgotovka, kako i podatoci za stru~nite rabotnici. Dr`avniot zavod za statistika se nadeva deka publikacijata }e ja ispolni svojata osnovna uloga i na korisnicite }e im ovozmo`i koristewe na brojni podatoci za ponatamo{ni analizi i planirawa. Eventualnite zabele{ki i sugestii za podobruvawe na izdanieto }e gi primime so blagodarnost. Skopje, juni 2009 Rakovoditel na sektor Slavka Atanasova PREFACE In this publication, the State Statistical Office of the Republic of Macedonia is publishing data on educational- pedagogical process in primary, lower secondary and upper secondary education, which are collected from the regular annual statistical surveys, that refers to the beginning of the school year 2008/2009, in all types of schools. The publication comprises data for the number of primary and lower secondary schools (regular, special, adult school and art schools), class sections, enrolled students by sex, grades and municipalities, students according to the study of foreign language (first and second compulsory and facultative), students that used free transport, boarding school and private families accommodation. Also, a lot of data are included for teachers according to the type of employment, sex, age, fund of lessons, level of education and supporting staff. According to the changes in the Law on Primary and Lower secondary Education (Official Gazette of the Republic of Macedonia No 51/2007) starting from the school year 2007/2008, the primary and lower secondary education in Republic of Macedonia lasts 9 years (nine years) and is compulsory for all children with 6 years of age. In the upper secondary schools (regular, special and religious) also the data for the number of schools, class sections, students by sex, qualification, educational programmes and municipalities, students according to age, year of study and study of foreign language (first and second compulsory and facultative), are included. Also, a lot of data are included for teachers according to the type of employment, sex, age, fund of lessons, level of education and supporting staff. The State Statistical Office makes an efforts in order to meet user’s requirements for following analysis and planning. We look forward to your suggestions and notes, with pleasure. This dissertation examines possibilities and challenges faced by interna- tional interveners in a post-socialist and violently divided area. The study object is the Swedish foundation Kvinna till Kvinna, formed in 1993 during the Bosnian war, originating from the peace movement and supported by the Swedish government aid agency Sida. The aim is to contextualize and analyze Kvinna till Kvinna’s two decades of engage- ment in peacebuilding in Bosnia. The encounter with domestic women’s NGOs is of particular interest. By focusing on rhetoric, practice and silences, the ambition has been to understand the international/local relationship from the perspective of both actors.

Ethnomusicology Archive Los Angeles, California 90095-1490 Abstract: Dick Crum (1928-2005) was a teacher, dancer, and choreographer of European folk music and dance, but his expertise was in Balkan folk culture. Over the course of his lifetime, Crum amassed thousands of European folk music records. The UCLA Ethnomusicology Archive received part of Dick Crum's personal phonograph collection in 2007. This collection consists of more than 1,300 commercially-produced phonograph recordings (LPs, 78s, 45s) primarily from Eastern Europe. Many of these albums are no longer in print, or, are difficult to purchase.     INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE On the basis of Article 73 of the Rules of the Court, I submit: REQUEST FOR THE INDICATION OF PROVISIONAL MEASURES CONCERNING THE APPLICATION OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF YUGOSLAVIA AGAINST THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR VIOLATION OF THE OBLIGATION NOT TO USE FORCE Reasons The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia is exposed to acts of use of force by which the United States of America has violated its international obligations not to resort to threat or use of force against another State, not to intervene in the internal affairs of another State and not to violate the sovereignty of another State, to protect civilians and civilian objects in time of war, to protect the environment, as well as those relating to free navigation on international rivers, to the fundamental rights and liberties of the individual, to the ban on the use of prohibited weapons and on deliberate infliction on ethnic groups conditions of life calculated to bring about physical destruction of the group. Both military and civilian targets came under attack in the air strikes launched against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. There are many casualties, including a large number of civilian deaths. Even residential areas have been attacked. Countless dwellings have been destroyed. Enormous damage has been caused to schools, hospitals, radio and television stations, institutions and cultural monuments as well as to places of worship. Many bridges, roads and railway lines have also been destroyed. Industrial facilities have not been spared either. Attacks on oil refineries and chemical plants have had serious environmental effects on some cities, towns and villages in the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.
