~HEREAsthe Department of the Environment (in this Order referred to as "'the Department' ') has published a notice in compliance with Article 23(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981(a);
AND WHEREAS no objection has been re~eived;
Now THEREFORE the Department in exercise of the powers 'conferred on it by Article 21(1) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1981 and of every other power enabling it in that behalf hereby makes the following Order:- .,'
Citation and c.ommencement 1. This Order may be cited as the One-W~y Traffic (Belfast - Newtownabbey). Order (Northern Irelarrd).1982 and shall come into operation on 27th June .1982.
Revocation 2. The Orders specified in Schedule 1 are hereby revoked. .
Prohibition 3. A person shall' not, except upon the direction or with the permission of a constable in- uniform or of a traffic warden, cause or permit any vehicle to proceed on the roads or on the lengths of road specifie~ in column 1 of Schedule 2 in a direction other t.han that specified in relation to those road~,or lengths of road in column 2. . . Any person who acts in contravention of the Order shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £100.
Traffic signs indicating the effect ofthe Order have been erected on the roads.
