BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. STITCH EXPLANATIONS ssk (slip, slip, knit) Slip next 2 sts as if to knit, one at a time, to right needle; insert left needle into fronts of these 2 sts and k them tog. M1 (make 1 st) An increase worked by lifting the horizontal thread lying between the needles and placing it onto the left needle. Work this new stitch through the back loop. Repeat inc every 4th row, keeping in rib pattern after every increase, 15 (13, 13, 12, 12, 9) more times; then every other row 0 (4, 4, 7, 7, 12) times – 81 (85, 87, 91, 93, 97) sts. Work even until piece measures 18" from beg. Shape Raglan Cap Bind off 4 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Next Row (RS) Dec 1 st at each edge as for Back 10 (10, 12, 12, 14, 14) times every other row, then 20 (22, 20, 22, 20, 22) times every row. Place rem 13 (13, 15, 15, 17, 17) sts on a holder.

NECK Sew shoulder seams.
