Will Las Vegas glitz play in Boston? Wynn will soon find out Christopher Palmeri

YNN Resorts Ltd. BLOOMBERG is about to find out how well Vegas plays in Boston. WAfter holding discussions to sell its USD2.6 billion Massa- chusetts project to MGM Re- sorts International - talks that sparked an outcry from local of- ficials - the company has decided to keep the property. When it opens next month, Encore Bos- ton Harbor will be the flashiest casino on the East Coast. The Wynn style - with its flo- ral sculptures, modern art and emphasis on high-end dining - hasn’t always traveled well. Founder Steve Wynn struggled with the Beau Rivage, which he opened in Biloxi, Mississippi, in 1999. It’s now owned by MGM. Encore Boston Harbor brings Vegas-inspired glitz to a city of cobblestone streets, elite univer- sities and granite buildings. Octogenarian killed in car crash

An 80-year-old lady was killed on Saturday in a car crash at the parking lot next to the government’s Maritime Training School, opposite the A-Ma Temple in Barra. The initial police investigation suggests the deceased was hit by a car while crossing the vehicle entrance of the parking lot.
