Aon Risk Reward Challenge Media Fact Sheet

This week at The Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship at Corales Course Hole Yards 12 5 623

Aon Insight In 2019, the 12th hole at Corales was the 11th- longest all long on the PGA TOUR. While the wide fairway permits players to go for broke on the shot, the decision comes on the approach, where a tiered green presents a three-club difference from back to front. In the brief, three-year history of this event, tournament winners have played this hole in 4-under-par, and have never made bogey or worse.

Players to Watch The champion of this event in the fall (being played twice during the 2021-22 PGA TOUR season) is back and ready to defend his title on a course he is very comfortable on. Swafford’s game fits the tough tropic conditions well, and he should be able to work his way around the course to find himself in contention once again come Sunday. Tyler McCumber The 29-year old, who is very comfortable around water (McCumber loves to surf when he is not on the golf course), is coming off two solid performances in (T22) and Honda Classic (T33). After a runner-up performance at this event in the fall, this could be the week for the talented native to breakthrough and capture his first PGA TOUR victory. Hoffman, one of the longest tenured players on the PGA TOUR (card member since 2006), has completely transformed his body and has seen it pay off as of late. Hoffman is coming off three top-20 finishes in his last four starts, and as long as he can put 4 rounds together, he should see his name near the top of the leaderboard come Sunday.
