Premier Venue TPC Southwind was designed by noted architect Ron Prichard, with PGA TOUR players Hubert Green and Fuzzy Zoeller serving as consultants. The golf course features undulating zoysia fairways, champion Bermuda greens and numerous lakes, streams and ponds. Banner Policy • Banners and signs are strictly prohibited on the outside of tent structures, chalets, or on any fenc- ing. • The tournament will provide standard signs for all hospitality venues. • Banners may be placed on the inside back or side walls of private hospitality tents and must be approved by the tournament prior to placement. Disabled Guest Services A Van Shuttle, which is wheelchair accessible, is available to and from Accessible Parking in the Mobility Impaired lot at 8180 Sedgewick Blvd, and the Clubhouse. Carts will run from the time gates open each tournament day until 30 minutes after play. Cart Shut- tles will only pick up and drop off from designated locations. 1. First Aid A team of doctors, nurses and paramedics is on duty during the tournament. To receive medical attention while on the golf course, spectators may ask any volunteer carrying a radio for assistance or they may visit one of three locations: 1. The hospital trailer located on the East side of the TPC Southwind Clubhouse 2. The first aid trailer behind the 13th green 3. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Dept. Rescue Van located to the golfer’s left of the third fair- way Smoking Policy • All hospitality areas are non-smoking. Policies and Procedures Giveaways Policy • You are welcome to provide merchandise to your guests within a private or semi-private space. However, any items you wish to brand with the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational logo or co- brand with your logo must be purchased through PGA TOUR Merchandise. Please run all gift ide- as through tournament staff prior to purchase. • Due to security regulations, no backpacks, tote bags, frisbees or other projectiles may be distrib- uted on course, but these make great gifts to distribute off property. Hospitality Access Policy • Youth age 5 and younger are free of charge when accompanied by a properly credentialed adult, although hospitality venues are not well equipped for children’s entertainment. Anyone older than 6 is required to have the appropriate credential and/or wristband for each hospitality area, i.e., The Pavilion, Blues Club. Bluff City, etc. Inclement Weather Policy • If inclement weather is in the vicinity, spectators will be advised on electronic scoreboards. • Spectators are encouraged to return to their vehicles or ticketed hospitality venue when this warning is given. Quite inadvertently, he also sowed the seeds of a business operation that today consists of 31 golf facilities and generates hundreds of millions of dollars in annual revenues for the PGA Tour. Called the TPC Network, it currently comprises private, public and daily-fee courses that serve recreational golfers throughout the United States as well as in Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Malaysia. Several of those layouts also act as venues for PGA Tour, PGA Tour Champions and Korn Ferry Tour events, such as TPC River Highlands outside Hartford, Connecticut, the home of the Travelers Championship, and TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee, where the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational was held last month. This year’s PGA Championship was staged at TPC Harding Park in San Francisco, California, and the first tournament of the 2020 FedEx Cup playoffs, the Northern Trust, is being played this weekend at TPC Boston. That is an impressive collection. Equally as significant is how that division of the tour is thriving as it celebrates its 40th anniversary this year. Designed largely by Pete and Alice Dye with significant impact from Beman, TPC Sawgrass was the first piece of that portfolio when it opened in the fall of 1980. Many industry observers, including a number of his tour professionals, considered it a risky venture.
