FEATURED CHEF: JAYSON HOLZWORTH FARMHOUSE CHEF Jayson Holzworth is an ambitious and hardworking Chef who has earned an award-winning career in the culinary world. He is a dedicated, creative thinker with a sound knowledge of modern and contemporary food trends.

Jayson’s passion for food and creativity runs through his genes: his father was a chef, which piqued Jayson’s curiosity at a very young age. Though cooking and running kitchens was a part of his daily life, he began his formal training at the Culinary Institute of Salt Lake City. While attending school, he began his career cooking in the elite foodie bastion of Park City, UT; there he learned the importance of cooking seasonally, a skill that informs his style even today.

He immersed himself in classic European techniques during his job as Sous Chef at the venerable Vienna Bistro in Salt Lake City. There he honed his artisanal charcuterie skills and “snout-to-tail” cooking, a style that has dominated the food world in the last few years. Jayson’s passion for excellence and eye for detail has shaped the signature service he provides. He began his career at Ojai Valley Inn in 2016 as Chef de Cuisine of The Oak, an al fresco dining restaurant that utilizes their herb garden for breakfast, lunch, and dinner experiences. Chef Jayson currently oversees the culinary program at The Farmhouse.
