he NCAA has sponsored regional qualifying tournaments the last 14 years (1989-02) to advance to the NCAA Championship. TDistrict IV usually sends six teams and one individual to the regional. Of the 17 teams from District IV that have advanced to the Central Regionals, Miami has made an impressive seven appearances in those 13 years. Qualifying for the NCAA Championship from the Central Regional in just over 85 percent of its appearances to lead all District IV teams, Miami has advanced to the NCAA Championship six out of the seven times it has appeared in the Central Regional.
