Mobile No: 9480370833 Growth of any nation depends on the Leadership. Leadership quality cants be taught but one can become a good leader by practice. Leader is one who influences and guides other members. As a leader one needs to make right decisions at right time, however tough the situation might be. Leader should establish the Vision/ Goals and provide knowledge and tools necessary to achieve the set goals.

From school level to the National leadership, we find many effective leaders. The people who were active leaders in school levels have performed excellently when they are made to lead at the national level also. If we see the ancient Indian history, some prominent names of the leaders are, Shivaji, Maharana Pratap, Tanhaji, and in modern indian history we find many freedom fighters like Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Subhas Chandra Bhose, Tatya Topi, Bhagat Singh, Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabai Patel and currently we are fortunate to have leaders like , Gadkariji and many more. We get lot of inspiration by reading the biographies/stories of these people. A good leader is one who learns from others experience also. So one should know the history of his country and be proud of it. A good leader will capitalize on his strong characters and at the same time take steps to improve his weaknesses. The Leadership quality comes with the experience from various working environments exposed to, and the circumstances of the specific nature.

In Military also we can see great Leaders. To name a few, K.M.Cariappa, K.S. Thimayya, , Marshal Arjan Singh, Karambir Singh etc.

Qualities a Good Leader should possess are:

 Physical Outlook and Uniform: The Leader should be physically fit and the uniform he wears should be neat representing that the Profession he belongs to is of high standards.  Enthusiasm. It is the display of genuine interest and zeal in the performance of duties. Enthusiasm comes from liking the job, having a living interest in all facets of work and seeing the possibilities for development of new ideas and techniques.  Decisiveness: A Leader should have a logical thinking capacity to provide solutions to the problems and should convince the others about his decision.  Time Management: Make a practice of carrying out all instructions and plan to the best of his ability and always on time.  Courage: One should be courageous. He should be physically as well as mentally strong. A Leader should be emotionally strong as well as he should be cool and calm to take decisions.  Alertness: to pick up the opportunities at the right time and exploit the situation to his own advantage.

Along with these a leader should be Self-Driven, respect the Integrity, be Judgmental have Knowledge to handle various crucial circumstances, be loyal and have Sense of Humour to make his team relax from the stress. A leader must cooperate with his group to maintain the integrity and safe guard of his respect. A leader should lead by example. NCC is shaping up the youth for a good and skilful leader for future. NCC helps in overall development of youth and builds leadership qualities in cadets.
