ishtwar based Rashtriya Rifles KBattalion under Delta Force conducted the final rites ceremony of Martyr Sapper Kishori Lal Rathore of 175 Engineer Regiment (TA Battalion) on May 9, 2016. The martyr was given a final farewell with full military honours in presence of hundreds of people who converged to pay their tributes to the braveheart at Dharbshala. Martyr Sapper Kishori Lal Rathore laid down his life on May 7, 2016 while carrying out the resuscitation of the anti infiltration obstacle system in Macchal Sector. He is survived by his aged parents and four sisters. The slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ rent the air as the body of Martyr Sapper Kishori Lal Rathore reached his native place. The mortal remains of the soldier were brought from Srinagar to Kishtwar by an Army Helicopter and were then transported by road to his native village Dhar.
