    Stratégie départementale de développement du tourisme et des loisirs Pyrénées-Orientales 2019-2023 Edito vec 8 millions de visiteurs générant 1,4 milliards d’euros de recettes et 11 000 emplois chaque année sur le territoire, le tourisme représente pour les A Pyrénées-Orientales un enjeu économique et social majeur qu’il convient d’organiser et de structurer. Première économie du département, le tourisme et les loisirs participent au rayonnement du territoire sur 4 saisons. Le département doit être en mesure de faire évoluer son image historique avec un positionnement au profit de tous dans une économie maîtrisée. Fort d’une concertation avec tous les acteurs, habitants, et les forces vives du territoire, le Département des Pyrénées-Orientales s’appuie aujourd’hui sur une stratégie départementale de développement du tourisme et des loisirs.
