Lori Hamlin Penske's down to earth demeanor and attention to detail attract an impressive roster of celebrity and high profile clients. Her flawless makeup application serves as background to the lovely lashes she has become known for.
An obsession with electric blue mascara led Lori to an exciting career as a freelance makeup artist. She never dreamed a job at a Clinique counter, while attending Michigan State University, would lead her to work with some of the most talented and fascinating people in the world. The week she graduated, Lori headed to the Big Apple. Upon her arrival, she sought out the legendary makeup artist Kevin Aucoin who recognized her talent and encouraged her to pursue a career in makeup. It wasn’t until Lori stepped backstage at New York Fashion Week to assist Francois Nars that her life would be forever changed.
Since then, Lori has led her own teams at New York Fashion Week and her editorial work has appeared in Harper’s Bazaar, Instyle, W, Glamour, People, Rolling Stone & Italian Vogue. During it’s heyday, Lori keyed Vh1 hits such as I Love the 80’s, Top 20 Video Countdown, Vh1 Divas and Best Week Ever. Beyond the style and media worlds, Lori has consulted with start up cosmetic brands on product development. Her extensive experience as an artist has given her opportunity to work
3 with brands such as Avon, Bloomingdales, Danskin, Forbes, Frito Lay, HBO, Playboy and Viacom.
In 2006, Lori partnered with her sister Lisa to launch Lori Hamlin Inc. They turned her Soho apartment into a lash studio where high profile clients could come and go unnoticed. Lori quickly became known for creating Manhattan’s prettiest eyelash extensions. Lori’s makeup gracefully transitions from one medium to another and has made her the go to girl for stars like Connie Britton, Kim Raver & Bridget Moynahan. Her ability to effortlessly collaborate makes her an asset on and off set.
