The Region long-distance trail begins at the foot of Austria’s highest mountain, the Großglockner. It then continues through the beautiful mountains and surrounding lakes of Carinthia, follows along the crossing points of Austria, Italy and Slovenia, and eventually reaches the Adriatic Sea in Muggia, Italy. Stages 17 to 22 elapse through the region Villach to Kranjska Gora and finally on to the sea. TIP: A shorter version of the Alpe-Adria-Trail starts in our region and only takes 6 days. StAge 17: Bad KleinKirchheim – Arriach This stage starts off in Bad Kleinkirchheim and continues via the Waldratte until reaching Kaiserburg. After passing over the gentle double peak of the Wöllaner Nock, it continues on to the geographic center of Carinthia, the village Arriach. DUration 7:00 hours diStance: 17,8 km AltitUde: 1.223 m StAge 18: Arriach – GerlitZen ALP Starting in Arriach, the hike continues on partially narrow paths across the northwest slope of the Gerlitzen passing dreamlike forests and pastures, and the pristine alpine water adventure world of Neugarten and further up to the summit. During and especially just before the finish of the tour, spectacular views of the unique Carinthian mountain ranges and pristine lakes await you. The chirping of the birds in the Bleistätter Moor encompasses the hike with cheerful sounds. The aspiration for this stage is reaching Ossiach with its wonderful Ossiach abbey. This permits the creation of synergy in regional development, the ideal use of subsidies, and high-quality natural park management. With the foundation of the Regionalmanagement Kärnten Dienstleistungs GmbH (RMK) Company that assumed responsibility for Carinthia's natural parks in 2007, natural park management was also inserted among the many other regional development structures. The Integration of natural park affairs into the Regional management Kärnten Dienstleistungs GmbH Company has been deemed extremely positive. This structure facilitates synergy with other instruments and regional development programs, such as LEADER or INTERREG, while also improving the coordination of such activities at national level. If, in other regions there is only one director for the natural parks, one regional, and a Leader manager for the various organizations, these roles have all been combined in RMK and enriched with other departments for related affairs, such as consultancy for funding, renewable power supplies, and tourism. Together with collaboration with other regional reference authorities, Cooperation with the municipalities and the directors of the region's other natural parks can be a key factor in a natural park's success. This organizational structure also permits the development of new natural parks. The regional office serves as the first reference authority in the region and applies regional networks to the achievement of its objectives, whereas natural park management utilizes specific knowledge and experience for their development.

Dies bedeutet eine einseitige Sperre der Bundesstraße und eine Verkehrsführung Richtung Radenthein über die Dorfstraße. Der Verkehr von Ra- denthein Richtung Villach wird weiterhin auf der B98 geführt. Durch diese Einbahnregelung müssen alle Fahrzeuge, die über den Ortsteil Rauth, den Kirchenplatz, die Kirchheimer Straße und den Feldweg kommen bis zur Dorfeinfahrt West (Surfer) in Richtung Radenthein fahren und können erst dort die Bun- desstraße Richtung Villach benutzen. Eine Durchfahrt beim Lindenhof Richtung Villach ist verboten! Umgekehrt müssen alle Bewohner vom Feldweg, der Kirch- heimer Straße, des Kirchenplatzes und des Ortsteils Rauth von Radenthein kommend zuerst über die Bundesstraße bis zur Einfahrt Dorfmitte (Springbrunnen) und danach über die Dorf- straße (Einbahn) zurück zu ihren Häusern fahren. Die Bushaltestelle Richtung Radenthein wird auf den Parkplatz des Hotels Burgstallerhof (Dorfstraße) verlegt. Für die Bewoh- ner der Mirnocksiedlung besteht eine genehmigte Durchgangs- möglichkeit über das Grundstück Würcher. Die Dauer der Bauarbeiten sind mit 4 bis 6 Wochen (je nach Wet- terlage) vorgesehen. Die restliche Sanierung der B98 inklusive Errichtung eines Gehsteiges wird im Frühjahr 2021 erfolgen.
