October Programs at the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County

YOUNGSTOWN (September 12, 2019/For Immediate Release) – Mark your calendars and plan on attending programs at the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County (PLYMC) in October.

The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County has a renewal levy of 2.4 mills on the November ballot. This renewal levy accounts for over half of the library’s receipts used to sustain library locations, services and programs offered throughout Mahoning County. Without , reductions would be inevitable. The “Life is Scary Without Libraries – and Harry!” party (see next paragraph) is not only a fun holiday event, but it will also be an opportunity for people to let us know what they would do without their library, what types of programs and services are their favorites, and, of course, why they love their library!

Life is Scary Without Libraries - and Harry! - Libraries saved , Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley so many times. Celebrate a night of Harry Potter trivia, scavenger hunt, crafts, and library activities focused on how libraries saved the Golden Trio and how libraries can help you. Come in costume if you like for a costume contest. This event is fun for all ages and all levels of fan appreciation. Treats provided. Every child attending receives a library bag for their goodies. Holiday-themed program. Canfield, 6-8 p.m. on Thurs., Oct. 24
