Nauczyciel to popularny zawód wśród arbitrów, co potwierdza kolejny przykład: Nowozelandczyk Peter O'Leary, który pracuje w Hillcrest High School. Z kolei jego rodak – Michael Hester jest oficerem marynarki. Najbardziej kojarzony w Polsce – angielski sędzia Howard Webb, to dyplomowany policjant, a Belg Frank De Bleeckere – PR menedżer. La sucesión de Antonio Baró significa- ba, también, un momento decisivo para la Liga Nacional de Fútbol Pro- fesional que no había vivido ningunas elecciones a lo largo de su historia. Se trataba de mantener la unidad entre todos los clubes y dar un paso al fren- te hacia los nuevos tiempos, con una organización avanzada, eficaz y preparada para dejar oír su voz en los nuevos escenarios que se plantean en el nuevo siglo.
