Foreword “As we celebrate our 30th year and reflect on our work and achievements over this time it’s also important to look to the future and PLANED’s evolving role. The Wellbeing of Future Generations Act has been driving force for many to think and work differently. PLANED embodies the five ways of working that the Act outlines, and we are proud to say we already apply them in the course of our work: We think long term, we have been active in Pembrokeshire for the last 30 years and are here for the long term. We support communities and volunteers to plan and to create their own plans for the future, through community visioning and action planning. We work proactively, acting to prevent problems occurring or getting worse and we support innovation across the county. We do not work in isolation. Integration is key, we consider how our organisational goals work together, how they impact on and work with the goals of others. We work in an efficient manner; we do not duplicate work. Collaboration is key to PLANED’s success, we work with partners and stakeholders to deliver the best for Pembrokeshire supporting networks and partnerships. We work with public, private and third sector organisations. We are community led. Involving people in development is the basis of sustainable, resilient communities. Looking to the future PLANED will be leading on two new exciting initiatives. The first is the Pembrokeshire Community Cooperative Share project, which will identify and support communities with share offers to purchase land and buildings to retain existing services or develop new ones. The second is the Community Wellbeing and Resilience project which will build capacity of communities so they can have a greater influence in decisions that affect them, particularly with regard to well-being, and support them to develop resilience to economic, environmental and social change. From the Board and the whole of the PLANED team we would like to extend our thanks to everyone that has helped us get to this landmark of 30 years, and we look forward to working with you over the next 30.” Lynne Upsdell Chair Rhagair “Wrth i ni ddathlu ein 30ain blwyddyn a myfyrio ar ein gwaith a’n llwyddiannau dros y cyfnod hwn, mae hefyd yn bwysig i edrych tua’r dyfodol a rôl PLANED sy’n datblygu. Deddf Llesiant Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol fu’r grym pwerus i nifer fedru feddwl a gweithio yn wahanol. Mae PLANED yn ymgorffori’r pum ffordd o weithio a amlinellir gan y Ddeddf, ac rydym yn falch o ddweud ein bod eisoes yn eu defnyddio yn ein gwaith: Rydym wedi bod yn weithredol yn Sir Benfro ers y 30 mlynedd diwethaf ac rydym yma ar gyfer y tymor hir. Cefnogwn gymunedau a gwirfoddolwyr i gynllunio a chreu eu cynlluniau eu hunain ar gyfer y dyfodol, drwy weledigaeth gymunedol a chynlluniau gweithredu. Gweithiwn yn rhagweithiol, yn gweithredu i atal problemau rhag digwydd neu waethygu a chefnogwn arloesedd ar draws y sir. Nid ydym yn gweithio ar wahân . Mae integreiddio yn allweddol, rydym yn ystyried sut mae nodau ein sefydliad yn cydweithio, sut maent yn effeithio ar nodau eraill ac yn gweithio gyda hwy. Gweithiwn mewn modd effeithlon; nid ydym yn dyblygu gwaith. Mae gweithio ar y cyd yn hanfodol i lwyddiant PLANED, gweithiwn gyda phartneriaid a rhanddeiliaid i drosglwyddo’r gorau ar gyfer Sir Benfro gan gefnogi rhwydweithiau a phartneriaethau. Gweithiwn gyda sefydliadau’r cyhoedd, preifat a thrydydd sector. Rydym yn gweithio dan arweiniad y gymuned. Mae cynnwys pobl yn y datblygiad yn sail i gymunedau cynaliadwy, gwydn. Gan edrych tua’r dyfodol, bydd PLANED yn arwain dwy fenter newydd gyffrous. Y gyntaf yw prosiect Cyfranddaliadau Cydweithredol Cymunedol Sir Benfro, a fydd yn adnabod a chefnogi cymunedau gyda chynigion cyfranddaliadau i brynu tir ac adeiladau i ddal eu gafael ar wasanaethau sy’n bodoli eisoes neu i ddatblygu rhai newydd. Yr ail yw prosiect Lles a Chydnerthedd Cymunedol a fydd yn adeiladu gallu cymunedau fel y gallant gael mwy o ddylanwad ar benderfyniadau sy’n effeithio arnyn nhw , yn arbennig o ran llesiant, a’u cefnogi i ddatblygu cydnerthedd i newid economaidd, amgylcheddol a chymdeithasol. Gan y Bwrdd a holl dîm PLANED, hoffwn ddiolch i bawb sydd wedi ein helpu i gyrraedd y garreg filltir o 30 mlynedd, ac edrychwn ymlaen at gael gweithio gyda chi dros y 30 nesaf.” Lynne Upsdell Cadeirydd Our Work Our work can be described under three broad headings: PARTNERSHIPS AND ENTERPRISE AND REPRESENTATION LOCAL ACTION NETWORKS 01 02 03 We are committed to supporting communities to improve their quality of life by focusing on opportunities, harnessing potential and helping them to achieve their aspirations.
