WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TOPICS OBJECTIVE After Full Face Mask training, an intensive in- Full Face Mask Types and Field water training program designed to increase Maintenance diver competence and confidence. Classroom Mask Inspection instruction precedes three pool sessions where divers face increasingly demanding Safe Use challenges in a carefully controlled and Public Safety Diving Accidents modulated environment developed to help Stress in Diving: Causes, Signs, them survive underwater emergencies. Symptoms, & Prevention JUSTIFICATION Public safety divers face many stressful Panic in Diving: Causes, Signs, challenges including water contaminates. Symptoms, & Prevention Full Face Masks help to protect divers from Stress Inoculation Drills environmental impacts and may allow for Multiple In-water Skills Practice full diver communications to and from shore. Sessions Without diver practice and sharp skills, stress may lead to panic resulting in severely SCHEDULE negative outcomes. The Critical Skills Diver program helps to inoculate divers against DAY 1 of 3 these challenges. FULL FACE MASK CERTIFICATIONS Full Face Mask Diver and Critical Skills Diver 8:00-10:00 Classroom 10:00-1:00 Pool RECOMMENDED FOR Anyone who responds to public safety dive events including divers and shore support. 1:00-2:00 Meal Break 2:00-5:00 Open Water Exercises DURATION 3 Days / 24 hours DAY 2 of 3 TUITION $100.00 (US Funds) per student Full Face Mask $365.00 (US Funds) per student Critical Skills CRITICAL SKILLS DIVER Diver 8:00-12:00 Pool Exercises BE SURE TO BRING Pen and paper for note-taking and 12:00-1:00 Meal break sketching. Diving students must provide 1:00-5:00 Pool Exercises their own equipment: Wetsuit or drysuit, scuba regulator: recently serviced and DAY 3 of 3 environmentally protected with alternate 8:00-5:00 Pool Exercises air source (i.e.: octopus, Air II, etc.), timing device, depth and submersible pressure COURSES MAY BE TAKEN gauge, BC with oral/power inflator, four tanks INDEPENDENTLY with current Hydro & VIP, mask, snorkel, fins, weight belt and two cutting tools (knife, wire cutters, or trauma shears).
