    ABSTRAK YANUAR AL-FIQRI. Perkapalan Nusantara abad 16-18 Masehi. Skripsi, Jakarta: Program Studi Pendidikan Sejarah, Jurusan Sejarah, Fakultas Ilmu Sosial, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, 2015. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh minimnya pembahasan mengenai teknologi perkapalan Nusantara pada perkuliahan di jurusan sejarah fakultas Ilmu Sosial Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan teknologi perkapalan Nusantara pada masa abad 16-18 M, yang terdiri dari jenis-jenis kapal, teknik pembuatannya serta ciri-ciri yang dimiliki oleh kapal-kapal Nusantara tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode historis, dengan langkah-langkahnya yaitu heuristik, kritik ekstern dan intern, verifikasi dan terakhir historiografi. Sumber-sumber sejarah yang digunakan adalah sumber sejarah sekunder, dan didukung oleh sumber-sumber etnografi yaitu pada penjelasan mengenai teknik pembuatan kapal-kapal Nusantara, dikarenakan sumber sejarah yang ada tidak dapat menjelaskan secara lebih rinci mengenai teknik pembuatan kapal. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa teknologi perkapalan Nusantara pada abad 16-18 M memiliki sejarah yang panjang. Teknologi pembuatan perahu lesung orang-orang Austronesia pada masa sebelum masehi menjadi cikal bakal dari teknologi pembuatan kapal dan perahu Nusantara pada masa setelahnya. Pembuatan perahu lesung bercadik Austronesia yang menggunakan teknik Sewn plank-Lashed lug, nantinya berevolusi menjadi kapal-kapal yang lebih besar. Proses evolusi ini disebabkan oleh faktor ekonomi dan teknologi dimana perdagangan laut menjadi semakin ramai dan kebutuhan akan sarana angkutan barang dagangan yang lebih besar dan berteknologi tinggi menjadi syarat utama. Kapal dan perahu Nusantara pada abad 16-18 M seperti kapal Jong, Padewakang, Mayang dan Kora-kora serta perahu-perahu tipe lesung seperti Jukung dan Paduwang dibuat dan digunakan oleh orang-orang Nusantara dengan disesuaikan ciri-cirinya dengan kondisi alam, ketersediaan bahan baku pembuatan serta kondisi sosial ekonomi Nusantara pada masa itu.

    1 BAB I PENDAHULUAN A. Dasar Pemikiran Bangsa Indonesia sejak dahulu sudah dikenal sebagai bangsa pelaut yang menguasai jalur-jalur perdagangan. Sebagai bangsa pelaut maka pengetahuan kita akan teknologi perkapalan Nusantara pun seharusnya kita ketahui. Catatan-catatan sejarah serta bukti-bukti tentang teknologi perkapalan Nusantara pada masa klasik memang sangatlah minim. Perkapalan Nusantara pada masa klasik, khususnya pada masa kerajaan Hindu-Buddha tidak meninggalkan bukti lukisan-lukisan bentuk kapalnya, berbeda dengan bangsa Eropa seperti Yunani dan Romawi yang bentuk kapal-kapal mereka banyak terdapat didalam lukisan yang menghiasi benda porselen. Penemuan bangkai-bangkai kapal yang berasal dari abad ini pun tidak bisa menggambarkan lebih lanjut bagaimana bentuk aslinya dikarenakan tidak ditemukan secara utuh, hanya sisa-sisanya saja. Sejak kedatangan bangsa Eropa ke Nusantara pada abad ke 16, bukti-bukti mengenai perkapalan yang dibuat dan digunakan di Nusantara mulai terbuka. Catatan-catatan para pelaut Eropa mengenai pertemuan mereka dengan kapal- kapal Nusantara, serta berbagai lukisan-lukisan kota-kota pelabuhan di Nusantara yang juga dibuat oleh orang-orang Eropa. Sejak abad ke-17, di Eropa berkembang seni lukis naturalistis, yang coba mereproduksi keadaan sesuatu obyek dengan senyata mungkin; gambar dan lukisan yang dihasilkannya membahas juga pemandangan-pemandangan kota, benteng, pelabuhan, bahkan pemandangan alam 2 di Asia, di mana di sana-sini terdapat pula gambar perahu-perahu Nusantara.1 Catatan-catatan Eropa ini pun memuat nama-nama dari kapal-kapal Nusantara ini, yang ternyata sebagian masih ada hingga sekarang. Dengan menggunakan cacatan-catatan serta lukisan-lukisan bangsa Eropa, dan membandingkan bentuk kapalnya dengan bukti-bukti kapal yang masih digunakan hingga sekarang, maka kita pun bisa memunculkan kembali bentuk- bentuk kapal Nusantara yang digunakan pada abad-abad 16 hingga 18.

Plant diversity and utilization survey were conducted by semi-structured and structured interviews to the informant. The selection of informants was using snowball sampling technique. Data was analyzed descriptively with ICS and FUVs index. The results of the study found 38 species of Larung Sembonyo ritual which is divided into 23 families. Types of offerings are used in Larung Sembonyo ceremony as much as 31 types, each of which has its own meaning. The 10 highest Value Index of Cultural Significance (ICS) of LarungSembonyo ceremonial plant is Oryza sativa L., Oryza glutinosa, Cocos nucifera L., Musa paradisiaca L., Pandanus amaryllifolus Roxb., Piper battle L., Aliumcepa L., Alium sativum L. and Manihot esculenta Crantz. The five highest Family Values Use (FUVs) were occupied by Family Arecaceae, Euphorbiaceae, musaceae, Solanaceae and Poaceae. The higher FUVs the more uses and utilization of these plants in a ritual ceremony Larung Sembonyo. Karanggongso community has indirect conservation efforts on plants that are used for rituals.

GREENE At the 2016 Oscars, Lady Gaga, joined onstage by fifty rape survivors, performed the song “Til It Happens to You.” The Oscar-nominated song by Lady Gaga and Diane Warren was written for The Hunting Ground, a documentary film about campus sexual assault. Over thirty-one million people viewed the Oscar performance, which brought some in the audience to tears, and the video on Vevo has received over twenty-nine million views with another twenty-eight million views on YouTube. The film, video, and performance are the result of a growing political and social movement by young high school and college women to force schools, universities, and colleges to vigorously respond to rape and sexual harassment on campus. In response to complaints filed by more and more young women, the Obama Administration and the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) in the Department Education began investigating claims that schools, colleges, and universities were not actively and adequately responding to claims of sexual assault and harassment despite passage of the Clery Act of 1990. The Clery Act requires colleges and universities to report data on crime on campus, provide support and accommodations to survivors, and establish written policies and procedures for the handling of campus crime.1 Since 2011, the OCR has expanded its efforts to address sexual assault on campuses as violations of Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 that prohibits sex discrimination

    Journal of Popular Music Studies, Volume 26, Issue 1, Pages 28–46 “Same DNA, but Born this Way”: Lady Gaga and the Possibilities of Postessentialist Feminisms Dr. Juliet Williams UCLA Department of Gender Studies, Los Angeles Since bursting on the scene in 2008 with her first studio album, The Fame, Lady Gaga has enjoyed the devotion of an unusually dedicated cadre of fans, affectionately dubbed her “little monsters.” Lady Gaga also has attracted the attention of scholars, leading to numerous tongue-in-cheek media reports documenting the rise of Gaga Studies as a field of academic inquiry (Corona, 2010; Eby, 2010).1 Required reading now includes J. Jack Halberstam’s recent book, Gaga Feminism: Sex, Gender, and the End of Normal (2012). In the opening pages, Halberstam offers up Lady Gaga as “a symbol for a new kind of feminism” (xii). This new feminism, which Halberstam dubs gaga feminism, “ . is simultaneously a monstrous outgrowth of the unstable category of ‘woman’ in feminist theory, a celebration of the joining of femininity to artifice, and a refusal of the mushy sentimentalism that has been siphoned into the category of womanhood” (xiii). As Halberstam explains, gaga feminism rejects the “fixity of roles for males and females” (5) and celebrates “the withering away of old social models of desire, gender, and sexuality” (25). It is a feminism that “recognizes multiple genders, that contributes to the collapse of our current sex-gender systems” (25). In its wake, gaga feminism creates an opening for “new forms of relation, intimacy, technology, and embodiment” (25). Halberstam insists that gaga feminism “derives from Lady Gaga and has everything to do with Lady Gaga,” but quickly adds that gaga feminism “is not limited to Lady Gaga” (xii).
