Located in the heart of Times Square, the Edison Ballroom has become one of Manhattan’s most beloved banquet halls. After an extensive renovation that thoughtfully preserved its original elegance and art deco style, we are pleased to present the newest addition to our venue – The Rooftop at Edison Ballroom. The Rooftop at Edison Ballroom features a fully retractable roof on its top floor and an equally elegant indoor space on its lower level, which we call the South Ballroom. The new addition, which is accessible through the Lobby of the Edison Hotel, is connected to the Edison Ballroom through a long decorative hallway, giving clients the flexibility of booking it as a stand-alone venue or in conjunction with the Edison Ballroom for large-scale events. With its convenient Times Square location, timeless Art Deco style, and superb catering menu prepared by celebrity chef Mina Newman, The Rooftop at Edison Ballroom is the perfect venue for hosting all types of private events – meetings, business conferences, holiday parties, weddings, Bar & Bat Mitzvahs, red carpet fashion shows and more. Award-Winning Chef Mina Newman Celebrity chef Mina Newman is the creative force behind The Rooftop at Edison Ballroom’s award-winning menu. Prior to joining the Edison Ballroom team, Mina served as the chef of Drew Nieporent’s Layla and managed several restaurants, becoming one of the first women chef to attain superstar status. Mina also owned and operated a catering company, Boutique, with clients such as Citigroup, J. Crew and jewelry designer Judith Ripka. In March 2009, Mina was the winner of “Chopped”, a cooking show competition airing on the Food Network. Besides overseeing all the aspects of Edison Ballroom’s catering menu, Mina is also the executive chef of greek-in- spired Christos Steak House, recently voted as one of the top 50 steakhouses in the country.
