Owen, Clerk D Wheat LAWN CEMETERY 3. Tree Maintenance – Cllr. Turner to arrange a meeting with the School before hedge cutting season is over.
4. Land drainage – N&J Services to dig a test plot with a digger to check the drainage of the lower area of the Cemetery.
5. Wall Maintenance – Cllr. Hargreaves to be asked if he would obtain 3 quotations for pointing.
6. Car Park surfacing – Cllr. Owen will ask groundwork contractors for 3 quotations for resurfacing work. The turning area needs enlarging and there is a small drain which needs some attention.
7. Notice Board Replacement – Clerk to research 2 more suppliers and to present 3 quotations and different designs to the next Council meeting in February. Small size to take 4 - A4 sheets.
8. Benches & Plaques – Mr. Bourne has contacted the supplier of the current benches (company from York) and these are £692+VAT. Plaques 4”x2” including the inscription from the same supplier are £46 +VAT. Total cost £830 +VAT. Divided by 3 = £277 per person. Maintenance and fitting costs were also discussed. 9. Cemetery Fee price increase - 20% (agreed at Jan 21 meeting BEPC) - Updated price list - Comparison with other SMDC Parishes. The Clerk presented the price comparisons of the other SMDC Cemeteries. The 20% rise in fees for Brown Edge brings Brown Edge Cemetery up to the other Parish Charges for 2021, but still below the Town Council Charges.

10. Cemetery Rules –To be reviewed at the Annual meeting in May when bench decisions will have been agreed at Council. Cllr. Turner also suggested having the opportunity for memorial benches around the village.
11. Any other business – Mr Bourne emailed the Clerk with a request for the Grave numbering to be discussed. Currently the numbers are painted on. Cllr. Owen suggested a stencil to make the numbers neat.
NEW CEMETERY 12. Applying for Planning Permission – First action is to get three quotations from Architects for drawing Plans to find out if BEPC can actually get Planning Permission on that piece of land.
13. Scribe Cemetery Software - Idea for digital Cemetery recording - £600 per year – not currently of interest Meeting Ended 10.10am
