XL had pretty bad history as long as we are talking about past Sigur Ros releases Usanner Sound quality is pretty good, not great though.First record is NOT flat at all. Your needle and cartridge are in for a ride. Not unplayable, but if you have your cart set at a very light weight, it could go flying. Gagas Sounds great! Better then some of the XL stuff. Heavy vinyl too. Super P My copy definitely has various noises. Is it awful? Not terribly. But it certainly isn't a 'great' pressing. In general it doesn't interrupt the majority of the music (this is a pretty 'busy' Sigur Ros record) but in quiet passages it can be heard. Livable but disappointing for sure.... Drelalen Has some surface noise for sure... All in all though not bad. Vinainl All in all better then Valtari and Inni but there is still a lot to be desired. Side B ist very noisy on my copy, probably because of the 10"-insert as the others already mentioned. net rider Sound quality is good, although with small amounts of surface noise that can be distinguished from the source distorted instruments. It does appear to play louder than comparable vinyl albums in my collection. Regarding the packaging, the 1st disc was indented. Likely from being smashed in the gatefold with the 10", as only 1 side (Side B) suffers this dish warp. The needle has a hard time when initial tracking song bc of this. All in all not bad. Sarin schrodinger_catHow is the quality of vinyl? XL had pretty bad history as long as we are talking about past Sigur Ros releasesPersonally, I think that it's really strong. (Muddying the waters is the fact that there is inherent distortion in several tracks, particularly "Brennisteinn," but if you've heard the digital versions, you already know what to expect. It's just a little more difficult to decipher surface noise because of that.) Even if you really favor heavy bass, the highs/mids are very crisp and sweet. It feels immersive, 'big' in scope, which is how it should sound. Hope that helps. On a separate note, I was disappointed with how my album was packaged--because it was sealed and shipped appropriately, it wasn't the fault of the distributer, so I am curious to see if anyone else has any issues with this. One immediate flaw was that the sleeve is relatively flimsy and the vinyl caused a permanent indent. Related Music albums to Kveikur by Sigur Rós Sigur Rós - Takk...
