Women are usually an afterthought at security conferences around the world. Oftentimes, they are relegated to special all-women panels where the discussion is limited to gender. This has got to change. Halifax International Security Forum wants this to change. That is why we have made a deliberate attempt over the past five years to increase the diversity of our panels. That is why we created the Peace with Women Fellowship Program that provides leadership training for female officers from NATO and NATO partner countries.
