Hallo M.B.M., Hallo BEATLES-Fan Alter Markt 12 • 06 108 Halle (Saale) • Telefon 03 45 - 290 390 0 : Mi., Do., Fr., Sa., So. und an Feiertagen jeweils von 10 bis 20 Uhr InfoMail Nr. 1162: DVD SOUNDSTAGE - RINGO STARR & THE ROUND HEADS 384 Seiten dicker BEATLES-Bildband für 9,95 Euro Hallo M.B.M., hallo BEATLES-Fan, wir haben die neue RINGO STARR-DVD aus den USA (mit alten Aufnahmen) und noch den sehr dicken Bildband THE BEATLES in deutscher Sprache (auch als Sonderangebot), der sich - weil der Text auf Deutsch - sich hervorragend zum Verschenken eignet. Dienstag, 15. Sept. 2009: DVD SOUNDSTAGE - RINGO STARR AND THE ROUNDHEADS. Koch Records, USA. 22,90 Euro mit RINGO STARR, ROUNDHEADS (MATT BISONETTE, GARY BURR, STEVE DUDAS, MARK HART, MARK HUDSON). Regie: Joe Thomas. Bild: 1.77:1; Sprache: English; Ländercode 1 (Nordamerika); Dauer: ca. 56 Minuten. Freitag, 24. Juni 2005 (Konzert) / 25. August 2005 (Sendung): Genesee Theatre, Waukegan, Illinois, USA: Track 1: With A Little Help From My Friends - It Don't Come Easy (live). Track 2: Octopus's Garden (live). Track 3: Choose Love (live). Track 4: I Wanna Be Your Man (live). Track 5: Who Can It Be Now? (live) (nicht auf CD). Track 6: Don't Pass Me By (live). Track 7: I'm The Greatest (live). Track 8: Give Me Back The Beat (live) (nicht auf CD). Track 9: Memphis In Your Mind (live). Track 10: Photograph (live). (auf CD aber nicht auf DVD: Never Without You (live)). Track 11: Back Off Boogaloo (live). Track 12: Boys (live). Track 13: Yellow Submarine (live). Track 14: Act Naturally (live). Track 15: With A Little Help From My Friends (live). Das Konzert war am Freitag, den 24. Juni 2005 im Genesee Theatre in Waukegan, Illinois, USA. Der US-amerikanische TV-Sender PBS TV Network sendete den Auftritt am 25. August 2005. Never Without You; RINGOs Tribute an GEORGE HARRISON. Auf der aktuellen DVD sind zusätzlich die beiden Songs Who Can It Be Now? und Give Me Back The Beat. Start with some religious references from hero’s JPG&R on this Holy weekend right here on BWTB… 3 OPEN Paul McCartney – Heaven On A Sunday – Flaming Pie ‘97 Written in August 1996 while in the US, it featured Linda and son, James McCartney who contributed the lead guitar. George Harrison – My Sweet Lord - All Things Must Pass ‘70 This was the major smash hit of the album by Christmas 1970. It was originally intended for the Edwin Hawkins Singers (who had record, “Oh Happy Day,” which greatly influenced “My Sweet Lord.” George had also let Billy Preston release his own version before George’s – but it was George’s version that was the huge hit and remains the biggest single song success of his entire solo career. 4 Ringo – Oh My Lord – Choose Love John Lennon – God - Plastic Ono Band ‘70 This was the definitive track on the LP. This song was “stuck together” from three different, unfinished compositions. This included a laundry list of John’s opinions on his lost beliefs (namely people and philosophies). This was the song that confirmed the Beatles were over – John revealed he didn’t believe in the band, nor was Paul the walrus. John finally reveals that he was indeed the walrus. Some religious thoughts from solo artists JPG&R…in this reverent time of year 9.22 BREAK Up next it’s time for yer Easter Egg and Egg related candy set for the kids. 5 UPCOMING BWTB SHOWS April 12, 2015 on KLOS: Broadcasting live from Cal Poly Pomona, 9a-12p April 19, 2015 on KLOS: Broadcasting live from the Kobe Steakhouse, 9a-12p April 26, 2015 on KLOS: Broadcasting live from the Commerce Casino, 9a-12p The Beatles - I Am The Walrus - Magical Mystery Tour Recorded 5th September 1967 flip of “Hello Goodbye“ John said the first line came from an acid trip one weekend; the second line came from an acid trip the following weekend.

  • Beatles History – Part Three: 1970-2008
BEATLES HISTORY – PART THREE: 1970-2008 The Solo Careers In September 1969, John Lennon told his musical partners at a business meeting that he was leaving The Beatles. It was decided that the split was to be kept secret until the group had secured a profitable new contract with EMI Records. In early 1970, The Beatles’ staff prepared the release of Let It Be, which had been recorded in January 1969. As George Martin had lost interest in the production, American producer Phil Spector was asked to turn The Beatles’ rough recordings into a valuable album. Spec- tor’s involvement, however, caused further friction between the band members, because Paul McCartney felt that Spector was ruining his song “The Long and Winding Road” with a lavish arrangement featuring an orchestra and a choir. In addition, the release of Let It Be collided with the release date of Paul McCartney’s first solo album, McCartney, which was scheduled for 10 April, 1970. The conflicts within the band finally reached their climax when the other Beatles ignored McCartney’s wish of removing Spector’s orchestral arrangement from the recording of his song. Consequently, Paul McCartney decided to inform the public that The Beatles had disbanded. The promotional copies of McCartney’s first album contained an interview, in which he stated that he did not want to work with The Beatles anymore, because of personal and musical dis- agreements. The release date of McCartney is therefore regarded as the date The Beatles broke up, although they legally existed as a band until 1976, when their contracts finally expired.

  • Apple Label Discography
Apple Label Discography 100-800 series (Capitol numbering series) Apple Records was formed by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr in 1968. The Apple label was intended as a vehicle for the Beatles, their individual recordings and the talent they discovered. A great deal of what appeared on Apple was pretty self indulgent and experimental but they did discover a few good singers and groups. James Taylor recorded his first album on the label. Doris Troy recorded a good soul album and there are 2 albums by John Lewis and the Modern Jazz Quartet. The Beatlesque group Badfinger also issued several albums on the label, the best of which was “Straight Up”. Apple Records fell apart in management chaos in 1974 and 1975 and a bitter split between the Beatles over the management of the company. Once the lawyers got involved everybody was suing everybody else over the collapse. The parody of the Beatles rise and the disintegration of Apple is captured hilariously in the satire “All You Need Is Cash: the story of the Rutles”. The Apple label on side 1 is black with a picture of a green apple on it, black printing. The label on side 2 is a picture of ½ an apple. From November 1968 until early 1970 at the bottom of the label was “MFD. BY CAPITOL RECORDS, INC. A SUBSIDIARY OF CAPITOL INDUSTRIES INC. USA”. From Early 1970 to late 1974, at the bottom of the label is “MFD. BY APPLE RECORDS” From late 1974 through 1975, there was a notation under the “MFD.
