With a focus on designing the long term, Egis is one of the world leaders in construction engineering and regional planning and development.

Displaying a unique global offer, the Group combines the know-how of engineering with the skills of project development, capital investment, turnkey facilities operations and services for mobility.

Egis press kit Middle-East | November 2017 3 2. OUR GLOBAL OFFER

Egis assists its public and private sector clients in their development projects which link in with the major transitions underway in our society: energy and ecological, digital and technological, demographic and territorial.

The Group proposes a global consulting and engineering service offer which contributes tailored and innovative operational and technical responses in a wide range of fields: urban resilience and adaptation of infrastructure to climate change, renovation of constructions and eco-design, transport and mobility, energy strategy (urban heating networks, waste-to-energy, etc.), digital development and urban intelligence.

Egis press kit Middle-East | November 2017 4 3. OUR PERFORMANCES IN 2016

Improved results This year our Group surpassed the symbolic billion euro threshold, recording €1.020 billion managed turnover in 2016, representing an annual growth rate of 9.3%. Business activity outside France continued to rise (+13.6% in 2016), notably in the Middle East, India and Europe, and now accounts for 63% of the Group’s overall business. Turnover generated in France has also picked up again, in particular thanks to projects relating to the Grand Paris urban development and transport programme.

The order intake for Engineering (France, International) is close to a year of turnover and maintains the order book for our core business at almost 20 months of activity.

Distributable net profit amounts to €30.4 million, up on the 2015 figure (€26.9 million). EBITDA is also up at €73.1 million (€68.5 million in 2015).

Breakdown of 2016 turnover by activity

In the ranking published in December 2016 by ENR (Engineering News-Record), the international benchmark guide for engineering, Egis appears in 23rd place* in the Top 150, in 8th position in the Top 20 in the “Transportation” category, also 8th in the Top 10 in the Regions category in Africa, and 3rd in the Top 5 in the “Highways” category.

(*Except Chinese companies (Public companies) and « Oil & Gas » (activity share in Industry/Petroleum superior or equal to 50 %)

Egis press kit Middle-East | November 2017 6 Evolving geographical breakdown

The rise in turnover generated outside France comes as confirmation of the increasingly international profile of the Group and its activities.

In India, the second largest country for Egis (after France) in terms of workforce, with more than 1,800 employees and business operations stretching back more than 20 years, Egis was awarded significant contracts throughout the year in railways, building, water, waste management, airports and smart cities. One of the most outstanding of these is the coordination of the Smart City Programme in the city of Bhubaneswar.

The Group’s activities are continuing to diversify in the Middle East in water, urban transport, aviation and buildings, across an extensive geographical scope. In , Egis is producing the master plan for the development of Abha airport over the next 20 years and supervising construction work on the residential tower ETLAL in Riyadh. In Qatar, Egis has strengthened its position as the leading railway consultant in the country and has signed a new contract extension for the Doha metro project, thus prolonging its project management contract to 2019.

In Brazil, where Egis is one of the leading names in engineering, the Group won two major railway infrastructure projects for the mining corporation Vale and a crucial project in Water which aims to modernise the water distribution network of 24 municipalities in the Federal District of Brazil.

Egis also continues to grow its business in other regions of the world, with the award of several major projects such as the extension of the West Midlands tram network in Birmingham, UK, the signature of the contract and opening of the third bridge over the Bosphorus and the northern bypass around Istanbul in Turkey, the signature and operational takeover of the

Egis press kit Middle-East | November 2017 7 Lumerick Tunnel in Ireland, the construction of the future Olembe sports complex in Cameroon, and the engineering and programme management of the Great Mosque of Algiers in Algeria.

In France, as part of the Grand Paris flagship programme, Egis was awarded in 2016 with the EPCM of Systems on line 18 of the future metro network, EPCM of infrastructure on line 15 East (23 km underground between Saint-Denis Pleyel and Champigny-Centre), and is contributing to the construction of the emblematic station at Pont-de-Bondy. These achievements make Egis an essential player in the largest transport and urban redevelopment project in the Capital and its surrounding region. The Group also won, as a member of a consortium, the design, build, operate and maintain (DBOM) contract for the heating network in the Arsenal Industrial Estate, in Rueil-Malmaison.

Outside the Paris region, the Group was appointed to operate Pau-Pyrénées, Brest and Quimper airports for twenty years, and was also awarded the EPCM of improvement works on the A10 motorway north of Orleans and the design and construction of all of the maritime infrastructure in the land reclamation project Anse du Portier in Monaco. Egis is advising the Paris 2024 candidacy committee in its application to host the Olympics in the form of a technical assistance assignment for the development and conversion of the 38 sports venues considered for the Games.

Breakdown of our workforce in 2016

Egis press kit Middle-East | November 2017 8 4. OUR AMBITION

The world is today facing challenges on a planetary scale, all of which will require solutions.

Egis perceives the transitions relating to energy, ecology, digital tech and territorial change as opportunities to imagine and design the world of the future. These major transformations, which are underway and which we accompany, represent opportunities for performance, differentiation and competitive edge which are essential for our Group.

Anticipating, understanding and rising to the substantial challenges that the planet has to deal with today is our raison d’être: what we work for every day. As a designer of the long term and a global actor working in the general interest, we rely on our skills and our ability to manage complexity to contribute the most suitable solutions to address the requirements we receive. Innovative solutions to adapt to climate change, to reduce the energy bills of buildings, guarantee the long-term viability of infrastructure, protect natural resources, facilitate mobility and sustainably improve our living environment.

Egis aims to reach a turnover of 2 billion euros in the coming years and intends to reinforce its positions by becoming one of the Top 5 global firms of European origin.

To deliver on this ambition, Egis adopted a strategic project in 2016 under the name “Imagine”, which will guide the Group’s development in the years to come. By building on its identity foundations, i.e. its vocation and its values, those of a people-first, responsible and creative company, by emphasising its collective commitment through increased managerial engagement at all levels, Imagine will help to reinforce the Group’s strengths.

Through this corporate programme, Egis will not only continue to grow worldwide but will also seize on the opportunity to develop new services, improve its cross-group cooperation, and innovate both commercially and technically.

To deliver this project, five strategic priorities shape our road map for 2018 with the objective of making our Group increasingly:

… dynamic by engaging the firm in a momentum of growth in response to market concentration,

… high-performance, by adopting as a priority growth of our Net Profit,

… close to its clients, by pursuing geographical expansion and reinforcing our local presence,

… agile, by developing and diversifying our offers and capitalising on synergies within the Group,

… reactive, by seizing opportunities arising from the energy, ecology and digital transitions happening in the world around us.

Imagine will help us to trigger a new stage in our growth.

Egis press kit Middle-East | November 2017 9 5. FOCUS ON MIDLE-EAST

The Middle East, one of the major geographical poles for our Group

In 2016 Egis generated nearly €174 million in the Middle East, accounting for 17% of our total revenue, and twice the figure of the previous year.

In the space of a few years, Egis has become a leading name in construction engineering in the Middle East in fields as wide and varied as transport, water, urban development and aviation, whilst also being a trusted locally-established firm with our numerous offices in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi), Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) and Qatar (Doha).

Projacs joins Egis

Thanks to its achievements in the Middle East (almost 20 years the urban transport and railway engineering sector), Egis has reached sufficient maturity to develop its growth further in the region. In July 2015, Projacs, the building project management and works supervision consultancy, joined our Group, thus substantially strengthening our influence all over the region.

The acquisition of Projacs provides a new springboard for the development of our Group, which now has 1,300 employees in the region. Egis and Projacs pursue the same objectives: develop our activity in the Middle East and mutually enhance our service offers.

With Projacs our Group benefits from greater legitimacy in a large number of sectors thanks to more detailed knowledge of local players and to an enhanced service offering combining engineering and project management meeting the highest international standards.

With Qatar getting ready for the 2022 World Cup, Saudi Arabia which is already preparing for the post-oil era and Dubai, which will be hosting the World Expo in 2020, this region offers excellent prospects. We are also closely monitoring Oman, Iraq and Iran, which are gradually opening up to the global economy and are likely to become promising markets for Egis in the future.

With an objective of continuing the growth of the group in the Middle East and to accelerate synergies created through the integration of Projacs, Christian Laugier has taken on full time leadership for the Middle East Egis Business Unit.

He is based in Dubai, headquarters of the B.U.

Projacs ranked for the eighth consecutive year in the Top 20 of the ENR ranking (Engineering News Record)

As to the ENR top list for the year 2017 published in August, Projacs is at 12th position in the Top 20 non-US firms in international Construction Management and Program Management fees. Projacs ranked at 17th place in the Top 20 non-US firms in Total Construction Management and Program Management fees.
