Curtis Hunt Regina 2009 Curtis Hunt Regina 2009 Head Coach, Binghamton AHL Assistant Coach, Ottawa Senators Former Head Coach, Regina Pats Assistant Coach, Canadian World Junior Team We are pleased to have Curtis Hunt join us again as chief Instructor for our Regina camp. As a player, Curtis was on a Memorial Cup team from Prince Albert, followed by nine years as a Pro player. Curtis was an assistant coach and co-coached in the IHL with Grand Rapids. He was Head Coach with the Regina Pats, and acted as Assistant Coach for Canada's World Junior Team - 2 Gold Medals in 2 tournaments. This year he worked as Assistant Coach with the Ottawa Senators, and is presently Head Coach in Binghamton, AHL. Perry Pearn's 3 vs. 3 Hockey Camps Inc. This program is designed for hockey players to aid in preparation for competitive fall camps. The sessions will feature a professional warm-up and cool-down with some high tempo skill enhancement drills leading into the '3 vs. 3' competition. The key element to the program is the '3 vs. 3' half ice games focusing on speed and skill. The end results will emphasize reading and reacting skills, high-speed individual skill development, improved offensive and defensive awareness as well as excellent game conditioning. The coaching provided will be positive and constructively corrective while creating a motivated environment for learning and developing. The game format will feature 4 teams of 8 skaters - each playing nine to fifteen minute games in a round robin competition each evening. Four goaltenders will be required rotating in by periods at each end (two goaltenders at each end). We provide qualified goalie instruction and coaching at each session. What makes this camp distinctive? Team standings and individual goal and assist stats are recorded and posted. We have had a lot of success getting players ready for their fall camps. • Jets Get Back to Business Vegas Vacation Over
Winnipeg Free Press https://www.winnipegfreepress.com/sports/hockey/jets/jets-get-back-to-business- 456276263.html Jets get back to business Vegas vacation over By: Mike McIntyre LAS VEGAS, Nev. — First they teed off at a pristine golf course in the Las Vegas valley. After some sightseeing, they enjoyed a team dinner at a renowned steakhouse on an outdoor patio overlooking the famous Bellagio fountains. For a nightcap, some checked out a charity concert featuring five of the world’s biggest DJs. Yes, it was a memorable day off unlike few others for members of the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday. But it was quickly back to business on Wednesday as the team returned to the practice ice for an hour-long skate at beautiful City National Arena in Summerlin, a Vegas suburb located at the foothills of Red Rock Canyon. And skate they did. Head coach Paul Maurice put his troops through a gruelling 20-minutes of laps that was eerily reminiscent of the so-called "bag skate" that came one day after their season-opening 7-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs. But there was nothing punitive about this one. It was all about trying to stay sharp and keep the momentum going. The Jets are flying high these days, enjoying an 8-3-3 start to the season as they prepare to take on the Vegas Golden Knights Friday night at T-Mobile Arena. "Good to get out and have that opportunity when you’re feeling good about yourselves as a hockey team. Because you’ll have 23 guys sitting down for dinner instead of 12 different dinners.
