DALEY GETS THE CALL FROM HOCKEY CANADA A pair of Brandon Wheat Kings will be represented at the upcoming 2016 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge in Sault Ste. Marie Ontario. Forward Caiden Daley and prospect Sean Comrie have been added to the roster following a seven day development camp in July. The Wheat Kings have been well represented in this event in recent years. Among those Brandon players that have participated include Stelio Mattheos, Nolan Patrick, Tanner Kaspick and Kale Clague. The tournament runs from October 27th to November 5th ELEVEN WHEAT KINGS ON NHL ROSTERS The 11 former Wheat Kings include Ivan Provorov and Brayden Schenn of the Flyers, begin the season in the NHL. The Flyers are one of two NHL teams with two Brandon graduates. The other is the New York Islanders, who currently have defenceman Travis Hamonic and forward Jason Chimera. Ryan Pulock meanwhile was the club’s final cut and will begin the year with Bridgeport of the American Hockey League. Other former Wheat Kings starting the year on NHL rosters are Michael Ferland (Calgary), Jordin Tootoo (Chicago), Matt Calvert (Columbus), Mark Stone (Ottawa), Eric Fehr (Pittsburgh), Ryan Reaves (St. Louis) and the Winnipeg Jets’ Dustin Byfuglien, who began his WHL career in Brandon before going on to the Prince George Cougars. 2016 REGULAR SEASON - WHL STANDINGS EASTERN CONFERENCE GP W L OTL SOL PTS GF GA Swift Current Broncos 9 6 2 0 1 13 34 25 TONIGHT’S SCHEDULE Regina Pats 7 4 0 3 0 11 32 22 Victoria @ Edmonton Lethbridge Hurricanes 8 5 2 0 1 11 34 32 Regina @ Kootenay Moose Jaw Warriors 7 4 1 2 0 10 26 23 Saskatoon @ Kelowna Medicine Hat Tigers 8 5 3 0 0 10 32 26 Calgary @ Medicine Hat Saskatoon Blades 7 4 2 1 0 9 16 18 Vancouver @ Lethbridge Prince George @ Seattle Red Deer Rebels 8 3 3 1 1 8 26 32 Moose Jaw @ Red Deer Edmonton Oil Kings 8 3 4 1 0 7 17 24 Kamloops @ Tri-City Calgary Hitmen 5 3 2 0 0 6 10 13 Everett @ Spokane Brandon Wheat Kings 5 2 3 1 0 5 22 25 Prince Albert Raiders 7 2 5 0 0 4 19 25 Kootenay ICE 8 1 5 1 1 4 20 29 WESTERN CONFERENCE GP W L OTL SOL PTS GF GA TOMORROW’S SCHEDULE Prince George Cougars 10 8 2 0 0 16 37 26 Portland Winterhawks 10 7 3 0 0 14 47 35 Swift Current @ Kelowna Everett Silvertips 8 6 1 1 0 13 29 16 Seattle @ Everett Tri-City Americans 7 4 3 0 0 8 27 26 Regina @ Lethbridge Kamloops Blazers 9 4 5 0 0 8 32 22 Red Deer @ Kootenay Vancouver @ Medicine Hat Victoria Royals 9 4 5 0 0 8 20 25 Prince George @ Tri-City Kelowna Rockets 8 3 5 0 0 6 16 27 Portland @ Spokane Vancouver Giants 10 3 7 0 0 6 30 38 Seattle Thunderbirds 5 2 3 0 0 4 12 19 Spokane Chiefs 6 2 4 0 0 4 16 26 HOW THEY WERE BUILT - BRANDON WHEAT KINGS WHEAT KINGS PROVINCIAL BREAKDOWN 33 Jordan Papirny | ‘11- 1st Round Bantam Pick British Columbia - 2 (Wharrie, Anholt) 1 Logan Thompson | ‘12 - 6th Round Bantam Pick Alberta - 6 3 Garrett Sambrook | ‘15 - 6th Round Bantam Pick (Clague, Reinhardt, Papirny, Thompson, Higson, Duke) 5 Shael Higson | ‘15 Trade w/Saskatoon (Waltz, Shmyr) 6 Jordan Wharrie | ‘16 Trade w/Victoria (Draft Picks) Manitoba - 15 7 Daniel Bukac | ‘16 CHL Import Draft (Daley, Sambrook, McCorrister, Patrick, Armour, Mattheos, Coulter, 10 Kale Clague | ‘13 - 1st Round Bantam Pick Campbell, Lewis, Jameson, Shearer, Campbell, Gutenberg, Kaspick, 11 Caiden Daley | ‘15 - 1st Round Bantam Pick Wytinck) 12 Stelio Mattheos

2018-19 !!!!!CHICAGO!WOLVES ! GAME!NOTES CHICAGO at COLORADO OCTOBER 5, 2018 8 p.m. AHLTV THE!=>TH!ANNIVERSARY!SEASON 2018-19 After months of preparation and anticipation, the 2018-19 American Hockey League season finally has TALE!OF!THE!TAPE arrived for the Chicago Wolves. Tonight marks the start of the franchise’s 25th season overall and 18th year as part of the American Hockey League. It seems fitting to open the year against the Colorado REGULAR-SEASON SERIES 0-0-0-0 Colorado | 0-0-0-0 Chicago Eagles because it’s a milestone occasion for them as well. The Eagles are making their AHL debut as they were welcomed as the league’s 31st team earlier this year. LAST MEETING April 22, 2018 Just as the Wolves are known for being four-time league champions, the Eagles enter this year riding the momentum of back-to-back championships in the ECHL. They have become partners with the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche this season, so their roster does not bear much resemblance to the group that claimed the 2018 Kelly Cup. Only six Eagles return, but a good chunk of Colorado’s Opening Night 0-0-0-0 0-0-0-0 roster played for San Antonio last year as the Rampage served as the Colorado Avalanche’s NHL partner. That group includes former Wolves forward Andrew Agozzino (18 goals, 36 assists in 2016-17).
