Will Mobile Banking work on my smart phone? Most smart phones that have a desktop-grade Internet browser as well as a data plan or Wi-Fi connection will work with mobile banking. The following mobile devices have been tested and are known to work well with Mobile Banking:

Will Mobile Banking work outside ? Mobile Banking will work in any country where your mobile carrier's data plan will work. However, your mobile carrier will likely charge for accessing data while . We suggest that you check with your carrier before using mobile banking for smart phones outside of Canada.

How do I know my personal and financial information is safe? For Mobile Banking, we use the same security precautions as online banking; no personal or banking information is saved on your phone.

What if my phone is lost or stolen? If your is stolen, it can't be used to access your account on Mobile Banking without your account number and your personal access code. Remember, never store your passwords on your mobile device. If your device is stolen, ensure you contact your mobile carrier to have your mobile device deactivated.

Do you have a downloadable iPhone® or BlackBerry® app? Not at this time. Our current mobile banking for smart phones was designed to be used by the largest possible group of smart phones (like iPhone®, BlackBerry®, and others) via a smart phone's Internet browser.

How do I add an icon on the home screen of my iPhone? To add an icon to your mobile device, simply navigate to our mobile site www.northsave.com/m and then select add to home screen on the iPhone. The Northern Savings logo will instantly appear on your phone.

Do I have to sign up for online banking to use Mobile Banking? Yes, you need to have access to online banking and must have logged into it at least once before using mobile banking for smart phones in order to register for online banking.

I have an older BlackBerry® and the mobile site does not look right. Why is this? If you have a BlackBerry® with BlackBerry® Device version 4.5 or earlier, your support for “style sheets” may be turned off. Turning this feature on will likely improve the look of the site. To get direction on how to turn style sheet support on, please contact your mobile carrier.

What does it cost to use Mobile Banking? We don't charge you for Mobile Banking, but your mobile carrier might charge you for accessing your data plan or sending and receiving text messages. Please contact your mobile carrier if you are unsure about any charges that might apply to you.

Memorized Accounts As with other MemberDirect online services, Mobile users can access memorized accounts to speed up the login process. The Memorized Accounts function can be used with mobile devices that have desktop-level browsers to "memorize" the and member numbers for accounts that clients access frequently so that they do not need to enter them each time they log in. You can also remove memorized accounts when they are no longer needed.

Cookies Required In order to memorize an account, you must have cookies enabled on your mobile device. The system adds a cookie with the memorized information to your device to be displayed when you choose to display your list of memorized accounts.
