Set Up: 1. Print out all pages, single-sided. 2. Cut along dotted lines of Calling Card Sheet. 3. Optional: Laminate all game and calling cards for increased durability. 4. Gather household items to be your BINGO tokens. Dried pasta or beans, buttons or pennies work well.* How To Play: 1. Choose a player to be the caller. 2. The caller shuffles the game cards and places them in a stack face down. 3. Players choose a game card and a handful of tokens. 4. The caller then shuffles the caller cards and places them in a stack face down as well. 5. Caller chooses the top caller card from the stack and reads the name of the artist/group. Players cover the name called out on their game cards. Repeat this step as many times as necessary. 6. Play ends when someone covers five spaces in a row (up/down, side- to-side or diagonal) and calls out “BINGO!” (Or “Rock & Roll!) You can also play using one of the different variations listed below! 7. The winner is crowned the Ruler of Rock & Roll and becomes the caller for the next game! If two or more players have BINGO, the first player to have called out will be the caller. Variations 1. X Marks the Spot-play ends when someone has covered both diagonals on their game card. 2. Four Corners-play ends when someone has covered all of the corner pieces on their game card. 3. The Letter ‘T’-play ends when someone has covered the top row and middle column on their player card. 4. What other fun variations can you think of?! Extend Your Exploration 1. Listen to the artists and bands used in this game on your favorite steaming service. 2. Search for pictures and bios of the artists/bands. 3. How many of these bands did you know without realizing it? Maybe you knew their song but didn’t know who it was by! 4. What artists/bands can you think of that are NOT included in this game?
