The emphasis of the National Health Mission is on establishing a fully functional, community owned, decentralized health delivery system. The main programmatic components of NHM include Health System Strengthening, Reproductive – Maternal - Neonatal - Child & Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A), and Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases. The NHM envisages achievement of universal access to equitable, affordable & quality health care services that are accountable and responsive to people’s needs.

A large number of health programs are operational under the Mission and along with them a pool of IT applications are functional under the digital health ecosystem. These IT applications have been designed and rolled-out at different times using different technologies. However, it was felt that the techno-functional details of such applications are not readily available in a single document or place.

This e-booklet is an effort to consolidate and present an ecosystem of various IT initiatives under the ambit of NHM. The e-Booklet is expected to be a useful repository consisting of key information of ICT interventions and act as a ready reference compendium for all the stakeholders.

The information/data contained herein is made available and verified by respective programme divisions of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. For further details on these applications, respective programme divisions may be contacted. ePMU Consultant (Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP) has assisted MoHFW in compilation of data and preparation of this e-Booklet.
