Anniversary celebrates the great Argentine bandoneonist and composer Astor Piazzolla for the 100th anniversary of his birth. A show dedicated to the sounds of the Tango Nuevo, on the borders between fusion and contamination, tradition and innovation, in which the poetic force of music is combined with the talent and virtuosity of the artists. The jazz harmonies and the most refined compositional techniques merge with the fascinating Argentine popular music, creating a perfect combination of past, present and future. An artistic experience in which tango reaches its maximum evolution transformed and revolutionized. Winner of the 2007 George Enescu Competition in Bucharest Anna Tifu is considered one of the leading violinist of her generation.

Born in Cagliari, she started to play the violin at the age of six under the guidance of her father and to perform in public at eight years old when she won 1st prize with special honors at the Vittorio Veneto concert series.

At the age of 11 she made her debut as soloist with the Orchestre National des Pays de la Loire and at 12 years old she performed the Bruch Violin Concerto at La Scala in .

At 14 she won first prize at the Viotti Valsesia International Competition as well as in Stresa, where she won the Marcello Abbado International Competition in the same year. She received her Music Diploma in Cagliari at the age of 15 with special honors. She studied with Salvatore Accardo at the Academy Walter Stauffer in Cremona and at the Academy Chigiana of Siena where, in 2004, she obtained the Certificate of Honor. She was supported by the Mozart Gesellschaft Dortmund and at the age of 17, Anna was accepted to the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia where she studied with Aaron Rosand, Shmuel Ashkenzay and Pamela Frank. Later she was awarded a scholarship from the International Music Academy in Cagliari to study in Paris where she received the Diplome Superieur de Concertiste at the Ecole Normale. Fabio Furia, a world-class concert performer, composer and arranger, is considered to be one the best bandoneonists in Europe.

Thanks to his intense concert activity, he performed in the most important concert halls the world over, including Dvorak Hall of Rudolfinum in Prague, the Bozar Theatre in Brussels, Cagliari’s Opera House, the Onassis Cultural Center in Athens, and the Großer Saal in Klagenfürt. Highly regarded internationally, his talent is known to many Italian and foreign music festivals and institutions, including Lubjana Festival, Emilia Romagna Festival, Nancy Festival, “Maggio dei Monumenti” Festival (Naples), “Nei Suoni dei Luoghi” Festival, “Spaziomusica” Festival, “Settimane musicali bresciane” Festival, “Gubbio Summer Festival”, “Floraison Musicales” Festival and “Recontres musicales en Lorraine” Festival.

He started studying piano and classical accordion at the age of 7, first as self- taught and then under the guidance of teacher Eliana Zajec in Trieste. However he owes a large part of his musical formation to Prof. Corrado Rojac, who for some years in adolescence, gives him instrumental lessons, harmony and counterpoint. He then graduated with honours in only four years, under the supervision of Maestro Roberto Gander.He studied further with some of the best clarinetists in the world, including Antony Pay, Alessandro Carbonare, and Wenzel Fuchs.

In parallel with the clarinet’s concert career, he undertook the study of unisonoro bandoneon self-taught. Then he decided to approach the bisonoro system, graduating brilliantly at the Paris Gennevilliers conservatory under the guidance of Maestro Juanjo Mosalini. He specialized with some of the best bandoneonists in the world such as, Juan José Mosalini, Daniel Binelli, Juanjo Mosalini, Victor Villena.

He is the founder and artistic director of two Cultural Associations, “Anton Stadler” and “ContraMilonga”. Also, he is the creator of important music seasons such as the “International Festival”, which this year marks its XXII edition, ARTango & Jazz Festival, the “Bandoneon International Masterclass”, event able to attract young musicians from all over Europe and “Liberevento” an important literary festival of which he is the artistic director for the part of the events music.

A highly regarded music and arts consultant, Furia is also an event manager capable of supporting organisations, associations and foundations in programming events, as well as cultural and entertainment activities. He also teaches and organizes both instrument and ensemble music classes and masterclasses for public and private institutions. He founded the Italian Bandoneon Academy with which he organizes masterclasses and concerts with the most important soloists in the world.

Since 2014, he teaches a Bandoneon course at the “P. Da Palestrina” conservatory of Cagliari, first and only in Italy, thanks to which, since June 2018, the MIUR has approved the three-year degree course in Bandoneon.

He collaborates with the Bandoneon class of Prof. Yvonne Hahn of the Conservatory of Avignon with whom he has activated a didactic project that has alternate offices in the two conservatories of Cagliari and Avignon.

His discography includes “ContraMilonga” (2010), “Fabio Furia in concert” (KNS Classical – 2013), Novafonic Quartet (KNS Classical – 2015).He plays a bandoneon 142 from the German factory Alfred Arnold Bandonion and Concertinafabrik Klingenthal, of which he is a collaborator and endorser.

Romeo Scaccia, pianist, began his musical training in Cagliari at the "Pierluigi da Palestrina" Conservatory, under the guidance of Arlette Giangrandi Eegmann graduating with honors and honors.

He continued his studies at the High Musical Perfection School of Saluzzo under the leadership of Alexander Lonquich and at the "Franz Liszt" Academy in Budapest, under the guidance of Ferenc Rados (among his students András Shiff and Zultyn Kocsis), who defines Scaccia, "an authentic and extraordinary talent".

He specializes in Piano, Composition and Multimedia Arts at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam. Winner of numerous national and international piano competitions, he is currently an established concert artist and composer.

He performs all over the world, showing marked artistic qualities and remarkable interpretative personality that catalyzes the attention and drags the audience.Also appreciated in the way of jazz, he collaborates with Frank Gambale, Steve Gadd, Dave Weckl, Abraham Laboriel, Dionne Warwick. following a successful tour with the famous Macedonian fanfare "Kocani Orkestar", he released an intense live CD "Romeo Scaccia meets Kocani Orkestar", produced by Berlin's Jazzverkstatt. As a composer, Scaccia shows great versatility and undisputed mastery of the various musical genres ranging with unusual naturalness, from classic to baroque, to jazz, to pop, to contemporary.

He is the author of numerous soundtracks, from commercials to documentaries and feature films. Constantly looking for new forms of expression, he is a precursor in the use of computers and synthesizers; realizes the first multimedia concert in the world via internet, with live performance in Macerata and connection via proprietary software with disklavier in the remote locations of Amsterdam and London, and livecast web streaming of the event. n 2005 he made the soundtrack of the silent film of 1929 "La Grazia" performed by the Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico of Cagliari, obtaining a great success with audiences and critics and proposed again in the programming of the most important international Festivals. Protagonist at the Shanghai Universal Expo, as the only European artist invited to the prestigious China Pavilion, in collaboration with the Chinese artist Shan Shan Sheng.

The music composed by Scaccia for the occasion will be the soundtrack of the video on Expo 2010 which obtains the prestigious Prix Italia. In 2011 he released his piano album solo "Not Yet", which he presented in Switzerland on the occasion of the Auvernier Jazz Festival, in which Scaccia was called in the role of testimonial artist. Winner of the 17th edition of the Italian Advertising Technical Award in the column section sound for the spot dedicated to the international market.

His is the music that accompanies the multimedia exhibition "The 150 years of the Unification of Italy", presented at the Chamber of Deputies in the presence of the President of the Republic.

He is an orchestra professor at the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari since 2007. Of Genoese origin, he approaches music at a very young age with the study of the piano.

Subsequently, he turned his interest to stringed instruments, immediately developing his passion for double bass, which he studied in depth at the “N. Paganini ”of Genoa under the guidance of the masters E. Zoccoli, A. Lumachi and then of the master F. Pianigiani, graduating in 2000.

In a short time he obtained the suitability with the Youth Orchestra of the Mediterranean, at the Italian Youth Orchestra and finally at the Teatro alla Scala Academy, where he decided to perfect his studies.

He made his debut with the orchestras of the Ligurian territory such as, to name just a few: Genoese Youth Philharmonic, Ligurian Regional Orchestra, Chiavari Philharmonic Orchestra and Columbus Orchestra, progressively extending his activity to collaborations with the Classical Orchestra of Alessandria, Rondò Veneziano, instrumental Comrade City of Prato.

During his career he has collaborated and worked as a double bass in a row with: Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana, Filarmonica della Scala, Filarmonica Arturo Toscanini; Orchestra of the Teatro Regio of Turin; Carlo Felice Orchestra of Genoa; as first double bass and row with: Orchestra of the Teatro La Fenice in Venice; Orchestra of the Municipal Theater of Bologna, Orchestra of the Lyric Theater of Cagliari, Teatro Carlo Felice Orchestra of Genoa; Orquestre Philharmonique de Monte Carlo; Arturo Toscanini Orchestra; Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra; Sanremo Symphony Orchestra.

With most of these he has participated in international tours in the United States, Japan, China, United Arab Emirates, Russia and Europe, under the guidance of prestigious directors, such as: L. Maazel, G. Pretre, M. Rostropovich, R. Muti, G. Noseda, A Lombard. He also stands out as a soloist. In 2011 he took part in the 7th edition of the "Carlo Capriata Award" dedicated to the double bass and received the award. He has consistently achieved suitability as the first double bass and row in the most prestigious Italian opera houses and orchestras. The most recent are the first double bass qualifications at the Teatro Comunale in Bologna and the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa.

In parallel with his career in orchestra, he has played and carries out an intense concert activity with chamber ensembles in Italy and abroad: Orchestra Bailam, Magnasco Quintet; Hyperion Ensemble; Ensemble ContraMilonga; Anna Tifu Quartet, as well as with accordionist Richard Galliano at the Serravalle Summer Music Festival (2013).

Since 2014 he is part of the Novafonic Quartet, a formation consisting of soloists and first parts of important orchestras, proposing a contemporary repertoire inspired by A. Piazzolla and jazz.
