The Board, Management and Staff of Juliana Village would like to wish all of our residents and their families a very Merry Christmas. When : Wednesday 6th December 2017 Time : 8:00am Where : Main Dining Room ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Christmas Lights Tour : Friday 15th December We still have a few seats available for the tour. If you wish to attend, please see Recreational Staff (Wendy, Galina , Jeanette or Leanne ) to place your name on the list for this event. On the night we will meet in the Georges Centre at 6:30pm for a light snack & then it’s all aboard the bus at 8pm for the tour. If you are unsure of your name being on the list, call the GC on 9541 3405 or ask staff named above . RESIDENTS CHRISTMAS RAFFLE This year there will be Three Prize Baskets for the Residents to win, Included in the baskets will be a selection of Chocolates, Biscuits Wine & other treats. 1x Ticket for $2.00 Or 6x Tickets for $10. Staff Christmas Raffle There will be Two Raffle Prize Box’s to win 1 x Ticket for $2.00 or 6 x $10 Tickets On Sale from Friday the 1st December. See Galina to purchase yours. Or call the Georges Centre 9541 3405 The Raffle will be drawn at Lunch Time in the Dining Room on Friday 15th December 2017. *** You have to be in it to win it ………………… Juliana Village Activities Program – December 2017 General Information Christmas Office Hours The Administration Office will be CLOSED – Thursday 22nd December 2017 and will Re-open – Tuesday 2nd January 2018 Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Going to be away from Juliana Village at Meal Times ? Our Catering Staff pride themselves on their ability to provide beautiful food with minimal waste. If you are planning to be away for mealtimes, please inform the Kitchen or Staff in advance. It is a courtesy that allows staff to cater accordingly to resident’s needs. Your co-operation is very much appreciated … Spiritual Services at Juliana Village: For your spiritual needs we have Chaplain, Tony Everett, who is here Monday to Wednesday and who also gives a devotional service most Wednesday afternoons. Tony also holds bible studies in his Chapel from 9am to 9:30am on Monday to Wednesday. These times can always be found in the monthly program. Chaplain Tony will be away 25th - 27th December ___________________________________________________________________________ Vi’s 100th Birthday : Vi Pointer’s Family will be celebrating her 100th Birthday in a get together with Family & Friends. They have extended an invitation to Residents & Staff from Juliana Village who would like to attend. If so, please let (Wendy, Galina or Jeanette) know and they can inform her family on who will be attending.9541 3405 Where : St Luke’s Church ( 538-540 Kingsway, Miranda ). When : Saturday 20th January 2018 Time : 10:00am – 1:00pm Ps. This event has been organised by V’is Family, If you wish to attend you will need to organise your own transportation Juliana Village Activities Program – December 2017 Van Twist Reading Room In Logeman Court, the Van Twist Reading Room which is located off the Common Room also offers a quality collection of books which can be borrowed and returned freely at any time. There are approximately the same number of books in English as there are in Dutch, the latter for those who like to remember their Dutch roots! The Dutch Shop located in the Village open between the hours of 3pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday. The shop contains a variety of condiments, cakes, treats & gifts. Your Mail Dear Residents For your convenience, there is an outgoing mail box situated in the Bruinsma Hostel (mail box area) .Please place any letters that you would like posted, into this box. Rose from the office clears this mail box throughout the week. If you have any questions regarding your mail please speak to Rose in the main office. Hairdresser Day : Jean our Hairdresser is available Thursday’s for Perms, Blow Dries, Styling, Haircut’s & Colours. Appointments can be made through Nurses Stations or with our Recreation Staff. For Residents who are unable to attend the salon due to mobility, Jean will provide hairdressing services . in the resident’s room. Jean will be away on Thursday 28th December NAILS & WAXING : Renata will be away 11th & 25th December , 1st, 8th & 22nd of January Bus Trips : Our next monthly lunch outing will be in February 2018. Over the December & January Months we will only be going of Bus Outings for the Short Bus Trips & Shopping Trip. _______________________________________________________ Juliana Village Activities Program – December 2017 LIBRARY SERVICES & GENERAL READING……………… For your convenience the Sutherland Shire Library service comes to the Village every fortnight ( 2 weeks ) to bring books to the residents who have requested them. If you would like to start receiving books as well, please speak to an Activities Staff Member ( Wendy, Galina ,Jeanette or Leanne) or advise a Nurse and they will advise us. If the fortnightly service is not for you but you enjoy reading the occasional book, then come along to the George’s Centre and have a browse through our overflowing book collection which has many good books which have been kindly donated by residents and families all the time so you are sure to pick up a new release or two. You are free to take these books at any time. Logemen & Miranda/Bimbadeen Court Residents A movie will be shown at 3pm in the Common Room of Logeman Court and afterwards ( 5pm) residents will enjoy Happy Hour together. *** This may be subject to change, So for further information call Jo: 9540 5090 or Judy: 9525 6225'. Invitation Mah-Jongg – want to learn to play?? If so, come to my home, Unit 49 Logeman Court, each Tuesday (after Tony’s Praise & Devotional) at 2:15pm. The invitation is open for those of you who would like to play or just want to pop around for a peek. Please phone & let Judy know so she can make provision for those coming.     Embassy of India The Hague Press Release September 20, 2019 Speaker of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly to visit the Netherlands The Speaker of Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Mr. Hriday Narayan Dikshit, will lead a delegation to the Netherlands from September 22-24, 2019. During the visit, the Speaker will meet with Ms. Pia Dijkstra, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Dutch House of Representatives, attend a presentation on the working of the Dutch Parliament, and have a tour of the Dutch Parliament Building Complex (Binnenhof) in The Hague. The delegation will also meet Mr. Jaap Smit, the King’s Commissioner (Head of the Province) for South Holland. A book The Way India Thinks authored by Mr. Dikshit will be released during the visit at an event at the Gandhi Centre - the Cultural Centre of the Indian Embassy in the Hague. The Speaker will also meet and interact with members of the Indian Community during the event. The visit aims to enhance understanding and establish contacts between legislative bodies of the two sides. Further, it will connect important authorities of the State of Uttar Pradesh with the Province of the South Holland, the country's most populous province and one of the most industrialised areas in the world. The provincial capital of South Holland is The Hague, while its largest city is Rotterdam. The Port of Rotterdam is the 9th largest port in the world and the largest port in Europe. South Holland is located in the western part of the Netherlands and contributes 21% to The Netherlands’ GDP.

De gemeente moet onderbouwen waarom de gemeente daadwerkelijk toeristisch is. De toeristische aantrekkingskracht dient autonoom en substantieel te zijn. De wet geeft aan welke verplichte (belangen)afweging gemaakt moet worden: a. werkgelegenheid en economische bedrijvigheid in de gemeente, waaronder mede wordt begrepen het belang van winkeliers met weinig of geen personeel en van winkelpersoneel; b. de zondagsrust in de gemeente; c. de leefbaarheid, de veiligheid en de openbare orde in de gemeente. In de Notitie ‘Herijking toeristisch gebied gemeente Leiden’ wordt deze afweging gemaakt. Deze notitie wordt voor inspraak vastgesteld. Na verwerking van de inspraakreacties zal het college van Burgemeester en wethouders de raad voorstellen uit de drie beleidsvarianten met bijbehorende varianten winkeltijdenverordeningen, er één te kiezen.
