ACCOMMODATION Participants are responsible for their travel and accommodation arrangements themselves. The hosts suggest the following hotels, which are all centrally located, in the walking distance from the meeting venue and railway station, and well connected to the bus from the airport. From the Turku airport Take a bus nr 1 to Kauppatori (central square), direction Satama. You can buy the ticket from the bus driver. It costs 3 EUR and you need cash. There is no ATM at the airport, so have some cash with you. The bus ticket is valid 2 hours, but the ride to the city centre will take only 20 minutes. NCD-10_Info_1__New_Practical_information_for_participants_December2015 2 From Kauppatori you can walk to your hotels (Sokos hotels are located at Kauppatori, to Julia and Centro you will walk 5 minutes). If you arrive from the airport straight to the meeting venue, get off in Kauppatori and change to the bus 32, 42 (direction Varissuo), 50, 51, 53, 54 (direction Ylioppilaskylä), 55, 56 (direction Halinen/Räntämäki).You have to show your ticket to the driver when getting in. Get off in Tuomiokirkkotori. It’s only 2 stops. You can also take a 10-minute walk. You can also take a taxi. The taxis wait in front of the terminal. The ride to the city centre will cost around 25 EUR. You can pay by card. From the railway station Arrive to the main Turku railway station (Turku) and change to the bus 32 or 42, direction Varissuo. For the hotels get off in Kauppatori (Main Market Square) and for the meeting venue on Tuomiokirkkotori (Dome Square = Main Church Square). The taxi will cost 10 – 15 EUR. You can pay by card. MEALS Coffee/tea, refreshments as well as meals will be offered free of charge during the meeting.
