Create a right triangle 2. Find the difference in the x-coordinates and difference in y-coordinates to calculate the legs of the right triangle 3. Use the Pythagorean Theorem (last step is square root!) to find the final distance (hypotenuse) of the right triangle. 4. **When using the distance formula – be sure to include parentheses** 6 Wednesday Workout – let's have fun! Movement will make you feel SO GOOD Time yourself to see how long it takes to complete the deck! Or choose a time limit and see how many cards you can get through. If you complete the deck, how many reps of each exercise will you do? 1. Grab a deck of cards & find a small space to do some exercises 2. Shuffle the deck & flip 2-3 cards up at a time... 3. Use the value on the card to represent the number of times you’ll complete each exercise. For face cards: Joker = stairs or run driveway Jack = 11 reps Queen = 12 reps King = 13 reps Ace = 14 reps Hearts (cardio – alternate jumping jacks and high knees) Diamonds (upper body – alternate pushups and mountain climbers) Spades (lower body – alternate squats and lunges) Clubs (abs – alternate crunches, sit-ups and bicycle kicks) Example: 12 squats & 11 pushups 7 Thursday – Practice (1-16) *don’t find midpoint on 15 & 16* 8 Friday - Answers to Thursday assignment 9 .
