Takwimu hizi zimetolewa katika ngazi ya Mkoa, Wilaya na Kata. Makadirio haya yametokana na Sensa ya Watu na Makazi iliyofanyika nchini mwaka 2002. Taarifa hii itawafaa sana Waheshimiwa Wabunge, Ofisi ya Bunge, Maafisa Mipango na wanaohusika na utayarishaji wa mipango ya maendeleo na uchumi katika maeneo mbali mbali. Taarifa hii, vilevile itaweza kusaidia Tume ya Taifa ya Uchaguzi kujua idadi halisi ya watu katika majimbo ya uchaguzi. Napenda kutumia nafasi hii kutoa shukrani kwa Shirika la Umoja wa Mataifa la Mfuko wa Idadi ya Watu (UNFPA) kwa kuwezesha matayarisho na uchapaji wa kitabu hiki. Shukurani pia ziwaendee wataalamu wa Chuo cha Usimamizi wa Fedha (IFM) kwa msaada mkubwa wa kiufundi walioutoa wakati wa matayarisho ya kitabu hiki. Chuwa Mkurugenzi Mkuu Ofisi ya Taifa ya Takwimu Dar es Salaam Aprili, 2010 Makadirio ya Idadi ya Wapiga Kura Tanzania Bara, 2010 Muhtasari Kijitabu hiki kinatoa Takwimu za idadi ya wapiga kura katika majimbo ya uchaguzi Tanzania Bara kwa mwaka 2010. Takwimu hizi zimetolewa kwa Mkoa, Wilaya, Jimbo la Uchaguzi na Kata. Makadirio ya Idadi ya wapiga kura imezingatia idadi ya watu wenye umri wa miaka 18 na zaidi. Aidha, wapiga kura wapya ni wale wenye umri wa miaka 18 – 22. Inakadiriwa kuwa mwaka 2010 Tanzania Bara utakuwa na wapiga kura 20,445,725 . kati ya hao wapiga kura wapya ni 4,425,246 . Tanzania bara una jumla ya majimbo 182, Mkoa za Mwanza una idadi kubwa ya majimbo 13 katika Wilaya ya Geita, ina majimbo matatu, huku wilaya za Magu, Kwimba na Sengerema zina majimbo mawili kila moja, wilaya za Ukerewe, Nyamagana, misungwi na Ilemela zikiwa na jimbo moja moja. Asilimia ya watu wenye umri wa kupiga kura za wabunge katika mwaka 2010 inatofautiana kutoka jimbo moja la uchaguzi hadi jingine. Mkoa wa Dar Es Salaam una asilimia kubwa zaidi ya watu wenye umri wa kupiga kura (8.7 %) na mkoa wa Lindi una asilimia ndogo zaidi ya watu wenye umri wa kupiga kura (2.5%). Asilimia ya watu wanaostahili kupiga kura za wabunge inatofautiana kutoka wilaya hadi wilaya. Wilaya ya Mafia mkoa wa Pwani ina asilimia ndogo ya watu wanaostahili kupiga kura za Wabunge (0.12%) na wilaya ya Kinondoni mkoa wa Dar es salaam ina asilimia kubwa zaidi ya wapiga kura za wabunge (3.9%) . Jimbo la Ukonga katika wilaya ya Ilala Mkoa wa Dar Es Salaam linakadiriwa kuwa na idadi kubwa ya watu (366,495) na jimbo la uchaguzi la Mafia lililoko wilaya ya Mafia mkoa wa Pwani linakadiriwa kuwa na idadi ndogo ya watu (25,049).
