1 What are the Island Areas of the United States?

. IAs of the U.S. are American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), and the United States Virgin Islands (USVI) . Census Bureau treats IAs as state equivalents . Data for IAs presented separately from the United States and Puerto Rico . Separate from the IAs are the U.S. Minor Outlying Areas (not part of standard data products)
