However, the new album, released Jan. 27 , puts a little bit more of an electronic edge on their classic dance punk. Dan Carey, who has produced Kylie Minogue, and Lily Allen in the past, deserves a lot of credit, if only for the fact that “Tonight” definitely went through a lot of production. The experimentation with pedal effects, synthesized and some odd mixing is at its best in “Can’t Stop Feeling” but sometimes feels like overkill in heavy- handed electronic backing of “Live Alone,” that just seems to be trying to hard to provoke dancing. MORRIS ● Continued from 10 passing record, to a guy who once was on teams named the Iowa Barnstormers and the Amsterdam Admirals. Seriously how dumb are you? Where does this newspaper fi nd these guys? Clemson?” I know Favre is an icon, and I really like the guy — he’s the gunslinger from Gulfport, . He is the quintessential American hero and the face of professional football. The man even wears Wrangler jeans! I understand what I am getting ready to say is almost sacrilegious, but I would rather have good old Kurt Warner. I understand that Kurt Warner came from pass-happy vertical offenses in St. Louis and Arizona, so comparing regular season numbers to Favre’s is not quite comparing apples to apples. Kurt boasts higher career completion percentage, yards-per-attempt and passer rating ... but for the sake of argument, let’s throw that information out of the window and look only at playoff numbers multiplied out to a full season of games. Equated to a full 16 game season here are the numbers of four quarterbacks: Alan Tauber / THE DAILY GAMECOCK Player A: 4,785 yards, 37 A member of the Gamecock men’s team swims hard in a meet against UNC during the swimming and diving team’s fall season. touchdowns, 97.3 passer rating, .800 winning percentage. This season Warner has overcome unbelievable odds and led his team to the Super Bowl. Favre fostered resentment from teammates, got his coach fired after guiding his team to a 1-4 record in the last five games and had a 2:9 touchdown- interceptions ratio. The Jets also missed the playoffs after starting 8-3. I understand that Favre is a legend, which I totally agree with. He is a phenomenal player and one of the greatest QBs to ever play football. All I am asking is that people start viewing Warner with that same type of prestige. And if he overcomes the odds again on Sunday, people just might.
