Collaborations included assuming full responsibility for teaching up to three weeks of class, planning the course content and selecting course materials, assisting in preparation of exam questions, and regularly discussing pedagogical and substantive issues with the professor.

Services Activities: Teaching team member in NITA Mid-Atlantic Regional Program, judge in the finals of the ABA-LSD competition on Negotiations, judge in the Temple- LEAP High School mock trial competition.

OTHER TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Taught new and experienced attorneys employed by Georgia Legal Services and Atlanta Legal Aid Society courses in Domestic Relations, Creditor-Debtor Relations, Creditor- Debtor Relations, Evidence, Trial Practice and Litigation. Planned, coordinated and taught mini-courses with the other trainers and made several videotapes used in other programs by the Legal Services Corporation (September, 1976 – June 1984).

LEGAL PRACTICE EXPERIENCE

Senior Associate Attorney, Stokes, Shapiro, Fussell and Wedge, 2300 First Atlanta Tower, Atlanta, Georgia, 30383 (April, 1985 – July, 1987). Litigation caseload included construction , commercial contracts, antitrust, bankruptcy, and licensing matters in trial and appellate proceedings, in both federal and state courts, as well as matters before the American Arbitration Association. Contributor of substantive legal articles to firm’s monthly magazine/newsletter to clients.

Managing Attorney, Georgia Legal Services Program, Gainseville, Georgia (September, 1976 – March, 1985). Represented indigent clients and client groups in a thirty-three county area in North Georgia, managing three offices, twelve attorneys, six paralegals, and support staff. Litigation caseload included administrative benefits, domestic relations, , housing, civil rights, and education matters in both federal and state courts, including numerous class action suits. Previously served as senior staff attorney, supervising attorney, staff attorney, and legislative consultant during my employment. Authored several brochures on client rights and obligations. Service Activities: Volunteer lawyer for legal Clinic for the Homeless; volunteer lawyer for YWCA Shelter for Battered Women; member, Board of Directors of Georgia ACLU; Legislative Consultant for Georgia ACLU (drafted legislation and provided testimony before various committees); President, Board of Directors, Northeast Georgia Adult Learning Center.
