Check out some more notes from Elias below:

• It matched Purvis Short's 57 points for the 1983-84 Warriors for the most in a game against the Spurs.

• Irving’s 57 points matched the most in a game by a player who was perfect from three-point range. In 1983-84, Purvis Short had 57 points and shot 2-for-2 from beyond the arc.

• His 57 points were the most scored in a game against a defending champion since Wilt Chamberlain scored 62 against the Celtics during the 1961-62 season.

• He became the first player with multiple 55-point games in a season since Kobe Bryant had three for the 2006-07 Lakers.

• Irving joined LeBron James as the only players in Cavaliers history to record multiple 50-point games in a single season. Irving is the first to do so with two games of 55+ in a season.

• He was of three players with multiple 50-point games before turning 23 years old, joining Rick Barry and LeBron James.

NBA D-LEAGUE AFFILIATE - CANTON CHARGE

The Canton Charge, the Cavaliers exclusively-owned D-League team, enjoyed a banner franchise year in 2014-15. Along with their successes on the court in tallying the most wins in franchise history (31-19), Canton was guided to their fourth-straight playoff appearance by their top scoring defense in the NBA Development League, with first-year Head Coach Jordi Fernandez’s team holding opponents to 95.2 points per game.

The Charge also saw prominent growth off the court as a business, spending a franchise-record 847 hours in the community this year and working with organizations with strong ties throughout the Northeast Ohio community such as the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank, Canton City Schools, United Way of Stark County, the LeBron James Family Foundation, Aultman Hospitals, and Akron Children’s Hospital. A new franchise-record 72,345 came out to the Memorial Civic Center to support the Charge this season, including a single-game best 4,119 on Fan Appreciation Night (4/3) and 4,032 to see the Charge win on Cavs Night (1/31), both exceeding a sellout (3,942). Overall ticket revenue was up over 40% this past season, with significant increases in single game ticket revenue and our group programs from last year. Corporate Partnerships increased significantly with the addition of 17 new partners, including presenting sponsor SecureData 365. These new relationships combined with founding partners in Aultman Hospitals and Adultcare along with other returning and new partners, buoyed corporate sponsorships by more than 50%.
