Springwater Players Perform The Springwater Players present “Play On”. It is a behind the scenes comedy about a play that goes terribly wrong. This is the first play directed by the father, daughter and daughter team of Vernon, Jennifer and Tabitha Souders.

The play opens Friday April 7 and runs through Friday April 14 with four performances. Dinner theater will be Friday and Saturday, April 7 and 8 starting at 6:30pm. Tickets are $15. A matinee follows on Sunday, April 9 at 2pm; tickets are $10. The final performance on Friday evening April 14 will be a benefit performance with dessert benefitting the Estacada Food Bank. Tickets for this evening are also $10.

Since 1936 the Oregon State Grange has sponsored the Prepared Public Speaking Contest for the Oregon State FFA. The 2017 finals were held at their state convention March 24-27 at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds in Redmond. In addition to presenting the public speaking awards, the OSG participated in the Career Show with a booth promoting the Grange and the opportunities it provides when the FFA members take off their blue jacket for the last time.

Lane Pomona GWA Meeting The Lane County Pomona quarterly GWA Business Meeting was held at Indulge in Springfield on February 22nd. Seventeen members representing twelve Granges were in attendance. Among other items of business discussed was the upcoming State Grange Convention and the GWA contests being held there in June in Florence.

The site of the meeting was the Indulge Antiques store. In addition to antiques and craft items, the business has an eatery and bakery and does catering for luncheons, parties and high tea.
