Fatima-Priest.Pdf FATIMA PRIEST By Francis Alban with Christopher A. Ferrara, Esq. About This Book — Fatima Priest The first edition ofFatima Priest appeared in 1997, bringing the story of Father Nicholas Gruner’s life and work, dedicated to the service of Our Lady of Fatima, before the general public in a comprehensive and integrated format. A great many Catholics and devotees of Our Lady were already to some degree familiar with this courageous priest through his Fatima Crusader magazines, which have been in circulation since 1978. But this inspiring, long-awaited biography by Francis Alban, was a much-needed marshalling together of all the pieces of an increasingly complex story into a book-length format, assuring a greater impact and durability of all the varied aspects of this history. Three subsequent editions followed within three years of Fatima Priest’s initial 1997 printing, through the collaboration of another well-known author, Christopher A. Ferrara. Nevertheless, the landscape of the Fatima controversy has continued to change so rapidly and so dramatically that it has not been easy to keep Father Gruner’s readership aware of the progress of his work toward the fulfillment of Our Lady of Fatima’s requests. About This New Edition This battle for souls has raged more fiercely year by year, year after year, and so much has taken place since the fourth edition’s printing in 2000, that many people have urged the publisher to issue a new edition of this ever-timely book, so that the whole story of his thirty-six year struggle to make the full Message of Fatima known and understood, might again be available to readers in a single edition. This new edition of Fatima Priest brings the previous 2000 edition up to date. It is in many ways a heartening chronicle of events, though we are not yet at the stage of securing peace for the world and salvation for many souls in the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. But the truth of Father Gruner’s position has been vindicated in the most stunning and public ways imaginable. Thus the title of Part IV is “A New Day for Fatima”. Parts I through III (“In Person,” “Politics vs. Prayer,” and “A Fatima Spirituality for the 21st Century”) find their long-overdue climax in the exciting breakthroughs made against the ruthless efforts of Our Lady’s enemies to silence and distort Her Message. Six new chapters trace a dramatic arc in the story of the Fatima Priest, ascending toward what must be, in the end, the triumphal climax Heaven itself demands for the divinely written saga that began at the Cova da Iria nearly a century ago. The many surprising developments of the past twelve years demonstrate God’s desire and power to bestow upon us the blessings He has promised through Our Lady of Fatima—and also how generously He blesses the efforts of those who persevere in the labors of His vineyard. After thirty-six years of dogged persistence, Father Gruner continues to publish proofs of our obligation to believe and obey Our Lady, and perseveres in knocking on the doors and minds of all Catholics, stirring them to wake up before the entire world is enslaved and various nations are completely annihilated, i.e. wiped off the face of the earth. It is time the whole world knows why he won’t give up ... one 71-year-old priest against all the powers of the false friends of Fatima (especially the powerful Secretary of State inside the Vatican). We dedicate this work anew to the Holy Mother of God and, above all, to Him Who sent Her on a mission of mercy to the Church and the world. May God speed us all to a successful conclusion of Our Lady of Fatima’s final vindication. FATIMA PRIEST “In the Third Secret [of Fatima] it is foretold, among other things, that the great apostasy in the Church will begin at the top.” ...Cardinal Mario Luigi Ciappi, 1995 Papal Theologian to Pius XII, John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II “Suppose, dear friend, that Communism [Russia and Russia’s errors, in Fatima terms] was only the most visible of the instruments of subversion to be used against the Church and the traditions of Divine Revelation ... I am worried by the Blessed Virgin’s messages to Lucy of Fatima. This persistence of Mary about the dangers which menace the Church is a divine warning against the suicide of altering the Faith, in her liturgy, her theology and her soul ... A day will come when the civilized world will deny its God, when the Church will doubt as Peter doubted. She will be tempted to believe that man has become God ... In our churches, Christians will search in vain for the red lamp where God awaits them, like Mary Magdalene weeping before the empty tomb, they will ask, ‘Where have they taken Him?’” … Pope Pius XII Quoted in the book Pius XII Devant L’Histoire, pp. 52-53 “Through some crack, the smoke of satan has entered into the Church of God.” … Pope Paul VI Papal address, June 29, 1972 “We must admit realistically and with feelings of deep pain, that: Christians today, in large measure feel lost, confused, perplexed and even disappointed; ideas opposed to the truth which has been revealed and always taught are being scattered abroad in abundance; heresies, in the full and proper sense of the word, have been spread in the area of dogma and morals, creating doubts, confusions and rebellion; the liturgy has been tampered with, immersed in an intellectual and moral relativism and therefore in permissiveness; Christians are tempted by atheism, agnosticism, vaguely moral enlightenment and by a sociological Christianity devoid of defined dogmas or an objective morality.” … Pope John Paul II L’Osservatore Romano, February 7, 1981 “Only Our Lady of the Rosary can help you.” ...Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima July 13, 1917 FATIMA PRIEST and Our Lady’s Message to the World Fatima Obeyed: Promise of Peace and Prosperity or Fatima Ignored: Prophecy of Peril and Terror by Francis Alban with Christopher A. True Parents’ Message and News English Version No. 68 天一國 8年 天曆 APRIL 20203 ARTICLE ONE Responding to True Mother’s Prophetic Guidance By Michael Balcomb t 5 am on March 12, an incoming KakaoTalk message from Dr. Young-ho Yun in our international headquarters awakened me. We’d just concluded a special European seven-day workshop for 120 Japanese members in Istanbul. Fumiko and I were so full of excite- Ament and appreciation for a really great workshop and for the hard work of the two lecturers sent by Rev. Eiji Tokuno from Japan, Rev. Moichiro Nakamura and Mr. Morio Obata. So before going to bed, I’d sent a quick report with some great photos to Korea, hoping they would inspire True Mother at her breakfast table. I suppose I was hoping for a word of encouragement. But the message I read from True Mother in the early morning hours was very different. Rather than warm appreciation, it was a cool and serious warning: “You should be taking the coronavirus threat much more seriously than you are, and you absolutely must refrain from these kinds of large gatherings!” To be honest, I was a little stung. For the past month, we had kept one step ahead of the coronavirus. Over a thousand people from Europe came to World Summit 2020 and the blessing ceremony in Seoul in February and no one got sick, surely a minor miracle. Then, the very next week, our subregional leaders held big Sun- day services all over Europe to share about their Korea experience—and again, nobody got sick.

What the timing of these two events means in the plan of Divine Providence may be unknown, but developments since then show that Fatima remains uppermost in the minds of many Catholics throughout the world. Shortly after the English edition of the biography appeared, for example, attorney Christopher Ferrara criticized a passage in the translation involving words of Our Lady, and he interpreted the mistranslated passage as a deliberate attempt to alter the facts relating to the Third Secret.

Prophetic Mission of Archbishop Emmanuel Milingo, Emeritus Archbishop of Lusaka, Zambia and the Canonizations of Popes John XXIII and John Paul II by Pope Francis Emmanuel Milingo was consecrated as a bishop for service in the Roman Catholic Church on August 1, 1969 by Pope Paul VI, Giovanni Batista Montini at Kololo Terrace, Kampala, Uganda following his election as Archbishop of Lusaka where he served from 1969 to 1983 as one of Africa’s youngest bishops. He experienced and developed a charismatic, Biblically based healing ministry and in 1976 he joined the Catholic charismatic renewal movement finding therein a link between his African heritage and his Catholic faith. The Second Vatican Council had revisited the question of charisms in the Church. As Leon Joseph Cardinal Suenens stated: “In regard to charisms, the Council adopted an open and receptive attitude expressed in a balanced text indicating that, providing that necessary prudence be observed, charisms should be recognized and esteemed in the Church of today. Indeed we might add: they are more important than ever before.” (A New Pentecost? Seabury Press, NY, 1975, p.30). Cardinal Suenens had been appointed by Pope Paul VI to oversee the world wide Roman Catholic Charismatic Renewal. Following his ordination as a priest in 1958, with additional education in Rome and Dublin, he became a champion of enculturation, espoused by Vatican II and later Pope John Paul II, working for the development of an authentic African Christianity expressed through indigenous spiritual and cultural symbols.

  • Process and Policy in the Courts of the Roman Curiat
CALIFORNIA LAW REVIEW [Vol. 58:628 The Steady Man: Process and Policy in the Courts of the Roman Curiat John T. Noonan, Jr.* The two marriages of Charles, Duke of Lorraine, led to one of the most fascinating canonical trials of the seventeenth century. Professor Noonan uses this trial and its attendant circumstances as a springboard from which to examine the policies, procedures, and politics of post-RenaissanceRoman Catholic law. His Article under- lines the problems faced by a legal system that attempts to regulate the relationshipbetween man and woman. In broader perspective, it analyzes the reaction of a legal system forced to compromise between abstract social values and practical necessity. Professor Noonan's analytical framework can be profitably utilized as a tool to examine the manner in which our current social policies are implemented and administered. Anthropology rightly devotes great effort to deciphering the primi- tive attempts of men to make law in the primordial patterns, for from this effort will come material to illuminate our own behavior. But just as child psychology does not exhaust the study of man, so there is need to understand critically the functions of law in a more sophisticated phase. In its developed uses we are more likely to see analogues to our present problems, more likely to gain insights into the purposes, perver- sions, characteristics, and limits of the legal way of ordering human behavior in a mature society. Especially is this true of a system far enough removed from our own to be looked at from a distance but close enough in its assumption and its methods so that comprehension is not strained.

CONFIDENTIALITY OF ECCLESIASTICAL RECORDSt REVEREND EDWARD DILLON, J.C.D.* Two fundamental factors govern the confidentiality of ecclesiastical records. They are the nature of the information involved and the manner in which it is obtained. Thus, confessional matter, by its nature, is confi- dential. Further, since it involves information obtained under the seal of the Sacrament, it may never be divulged.' The cloak of confidentiality spread to other communications. Canon 1548, section 2 exempts from any obligation of testifying in an ecclesiasti- cal trial the following persons: "clerics, in regard to whatever was made known to them in connection with their sacred ministry; civil officials, doctors, obstetricians, advocates, notaries and others who are bound to professional secrecy, even by reason of advice rendered, as regards mat- ters subject to this secrecy." A party to a case could release such a person from the obligation of confidentiality, but there are exceptions, the most significant of which is the seal of confession.2 This exemption is extended t The portion of this presentation which deals with the confidentiality of Tribunal records is drawn almost exclusively from a presentation by the same author to the 45th Annual Convention of the Canon Law Society of America held in San Francisco, Cal., in October, 1983.
