Colorado LW On Tonight’s Game: “I think we had a pretty solid first period, not great, not terrible, and then it’s in a span of what, four and a half minutes that they get four goals in. When they get one, when they get two, we just got to find a way to stop the bleeding. Obviously in the third, we get a couple of lucky ones and what not and get us back in the game and we get it within one, but we had enough chances to tie it up too.”

On Team’s Resiliency: “We are here to play and we are not going to be pushed around and we’re not going to give up on anybody. I think the most important thing is we showed it to ourselves tonight. You know, the 4-on-4 goal there, their fifth goal [ticks] me off. I mean, that’s missed coverage by me and you just have to think if that doesn’t happen then all of the sudden we have a tied hockey game. But nonetheless, it sends a strong message to us and the players in this dressing room that we can do this and we can come from behind.”

Colorado D On The Team’s Resiliency: “It’s a 60-minute game and there was no point in us quitting. It didn’t matter what the score was, we kept going and I think there’s some positives we can take from that third period.”

On The Power Play: “I thought the man advantage was good all night. We were generating chances, a lot of shots. Their goalie made some pretty big saves on some of our chances but I think it’s a chance to maybe get a bit of a snowball effect going and take some momentum into our next few games.”

Tampa Bay G On The Win: “We are playing against a good team, a very good offensive team. Their top line is like any best line of any team in the NHL. We kind of got casual there at the end with a big lead, and I think that’s a good learning curve for our team. No lead is a big lead in this league. Everyone can play and score goals, so it’s a big win for us. Obviously it was kind of back-and-forth, but at the end we came through and that’s what good teams do. They play really hard, they play great. It’s a good win for us.”

On The Final Minutes: “I’m trying to play that way the whole game, but it was the last three minutes when I was able to stop a couple of them and our guys stopped a few with blocks and cleared rebounds. It was a big effort at the end especially because they were buzzing. They were going really hard and they have a lot of skill. It was big two points for us.”

Tampa Bay D On The Win: “Being up 5-1, you have to seal the deal. We were taking some penalties in the defensive zone and give them momentum and they will score. They are a great team. Their feeder game and their power play had been red hot all night. We fed their game and they capitalized. Bodie (Tampa Bay G Peter Budaj) came up huge for us there at the end and made some big saves.”

On Tampa Bay’s Offense: “We had a great stretch there in the second period. Obviously we got that fifth one there in the beginning of the third and we fell back on our heels and stopped playing. You can’t do that in this league, and that’s a good lesson going .”
