Alba Ceilidh Band John Wilkinson Blairgowrie Town Hall Association Yvonne MacLeod – accordion, Martin Originally from Bankfoot, John learned to in conjunction with MacLeod – fiddle, Brian Cowan – banjo dance in primary school in 1958, and has Ericht Scottish Country Dance Club and caller. Formed 8 years ago, the band gone on to teach dancing in a number of has played at numerous prestigious venues RSCDS branches across Scotland to present including Blair Castle, Glamis Castle, Fyvie demonstration standard. He has taught Castle, St Andrews University, Edinburgh regularly at Summer School, been Depute University and many more. They have had Director 3 times and also Director of Winter playing engagements abroad, in the School. His dancing and teaching have taken Bahamas, Norway, Iceland and Greece to him throughout the UK, to almost every country name but a few. Yvonne has played in Europe, as well as Japan, Australia, Canada accordion in a number of Scottish Ceilidh and more. He continues to teach social bands including the Gallivanters. We look dancing in East Lothian. Therefore we are forward to a good evening of dancing with very pleased to have him with us here in toe tapping music.
