Check-in and overnight at the hotel. Overnight: Manila Day 2 Manila After breakfast Commence the tour from the financial district of Makati including Fort Bonifacio and the American Cemetery, then move on to the city of Manila, the country’s capital. Arrive at Rizal Park, named in honour of the country’s national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. After a brief picture stop, proceed to the historic Walled City of Intramuros. Travel through the cobbled streets of San Agustin Church, the country’s oldest stone church and view its wide collection of ecclesiastical icons, vestments and other religious articles. Across it is Casa Manila, a reproduction of 19th century house equipped with Oriental and European decor, as well as Philippine antique furniture. Continue on to Fort Santiago, Manila’s main line of defense against invaders from the sea. The stone fort guards the entrance to the city from Manila Bay and the site of many tragic moments in Philippine History. From the Fort, drive to Quiapo, Manila’s central district, often referred to as the heart of Manila with its market, pilgrimage church of the Black Nazarene, jeepney terminals and bazaars. Then proceed to the Chinese Cemetery, where the mausoleums are as big and as elaborate as houses and where fusions of Buddhist and Christian religions are very much in evidence. Return back to the hotel at the end of the tour. Overnight: Manila Meal: Breakfast Day 3 Manila - Cebu (By Flight) Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer from your hotel to the Domestic Airport for your flight to Cebu. Upon your arrival in Cebu, take a joint transfer to the beach resort. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight: Cebu Meal: Breakfast Day 4 Cebu Breakfast at the hotel and day free at leisure for do some water activities at our own. Overnight: Boracay Meal: Breakfast Day 6 Boracay Breakfast at the hotel Explore island hopping tour (optional) the whole island of Boracay and the small neighboring islands by motorboat. Stop by the Crocodile Island for snorkeling and fish feeding. At Island Cove, there is a small cave and watch towers where you could get a bird’s eye view of the whole island of Boracay. Explore different beaches of Boracay. White Beach is the central part of Boracay where most of the hotels and other establishments are located. Puka Beach is located at the end of the island with just a few people; almost no hotels are in sight, only white sandy beach, tranquil and breathtaking nature. This is the place for those who prefer a relaxing ambience away from hustle and bustle of central Boracay. The Bulabog Beach is the best place for surfers and kiteboarders because the waves and wind on this side of the island is ideal for these water sports.     Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines Just finished touring Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia and the Philippines which seems a logical breakpoint for a trip report before we get to China and the mainland. Regarding Indonesia, we never before had a real appreciation for how big the country actually is in terms of being an archipelago (over 13,400 islands with almost 6,000 occupied) and population (over 260 million ranking fourth in the world.) Indonesia stretches some 3,100 miles east to west and just over 1,000 miles north to south. Nearly half the population lives on the island of Java which has the second densest population per square mile in the world (next to Singapore). Motor bikes and cycles outnumber automobiles by far. Brunei, on the other hand, is a tiny sovereign state (the size of Rhode Island) on the Indonesian island of Borneo with a population of about 420,000. It is an extraordinarily rich country based on extensive oil and natural gas reserves. Malaysia is unique in that it is separated by the South China Sea into two regions; Peninsular Malaysia on the mainland adjacent to Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and Indonesia and East Malaysia which is adjacent to Brunei and Indonesia. The population is over 30 million. It is a vibrant, growing country with an envious economy based on natural resources and a growing tourist trade. It has a very advanced healthcare system managed by the government. Lastly, the Philippines is comprised of over 7,600 islands and has a population of just over 100 million (ranking twelfth in the world.) The United States has a long history with the Philippines and large numbers of the population have immigrated to America.
