Day 1: Johannesburg On arrival in Johannesburg, you will be met and transferred to your accommodation, where we will spend the rest of the day. This evening you will meet your tour guide and the rest of the group for your pre-departure meeting.

Day 2: Johannesburg to Tuli Block, South Africa The Botswana Safari starts with an early morning departure in Johannesburg. We drive into Botswana through the Limpopo Province. We will be spending the night at Limpopo River Lodge. There will be a game drive either in the evening or the next morning, depending on the time of arrival. The evening meal will be prepared by the guide and we will spend a nice evening on the bonfire. BLD

Day 3: Khama Rhino Sanctuary, Botswana Our destination today is the Khama Rhino Sanctuary. This park, based on a community wildlife project established in 1992, aims to save the vanishing white rhino restore the wildlife area to its former natural state and provide economic benefits to the local community. In the afternoon, we do a game drive hoping to see some White Rhinos. BL

Day 4: Khama Rhino Sanctuary to Planet Baobab, Botswana After breakfast, we drive north-west towards the Makgadikgadi Pans. This area incorporates a multitude of salt pans and vast grass plains dotted by palm islands and forms the Great Makgadikgadi which comprises of the largest area of salt pans in the world covering some 37 000 sq. km in overall extent. After settling into our accommodation, we take a stroll with our guide through the surrounding baobab grove. He will explain the local ecology, geology and the unique biology of the baobabs, which are in fact not trees but the largest succulents in the world. (Please note a visit to the pans is subject to the road conditions and water levels as well as time constraints). BLD

Day 5: Planet Baobab to Maun After breakfast we head off for Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. The name Maun is derived from the San word “maung”, which means “the place of short reeds”. The afternoon is yours to spend at leisure, either relaxing next to the pool at the lodge or book a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta. BL

Day 6: Maun to the Khwai River This morning we will be picked up by our local Botswana guides for a short drive to the mokoro station. From here, we will float in dug-out canoes through the thick vegetation of the Okavango Delta discovering a variety of birds and wildlife. Unlike other deltas, it flows into the Kalahari Desert without ever reaching the coast. After this spectacular excursion, we make our way to our lodge, which is situated in close proximity to the famous Khwai River. After settling into our lodge, we will enjoy dinner and embark on a night game drive – a fantastic opportunity to spot some nocturnal animals that are more difficult to encounter during the day. BLD

Day 7: Khwai River Today will be spent in the Khwai area. We will embark on a full day game drive, hopefully spotting the variety of animals that frequent the region. Khwai is renowned for its large concentrations of mammals and its exceptional location makes it a regular host to elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dogs. Birdlife is also abundant with exceptional sightings of raptors. BLD

Day 8: Moremi Game Reserve After breakfast, we drive into the famous Moremi Game Reserve, which is described to be one of the most beautiful and varied reserves in Africa. A full day is spent in the unspoiled nature with an unbelievable concentration of wildlife. We spend the night in the reserve. BLD

Day 9 and 10: Chobe National Park We have to get up very early! We leave the lodge in Khwai River and transit through the national parks of Moremi, Savuti and Chobe to Kasane, keeping an eye out for the wildlife that calls this area home. The next day is spent with a morning game drive in search of Africa’s Big Five! We enjoy the afternoon on a sunset cruise on the Chobe River. Along with many species of big game, Chobe National Park boasts the largest concentration of elephant in Africa. Also hippo, buffalo, crocodile, puku and lots of different water birds are viewed from the river. Day 9 BLD ; Day 10 BD

Day 11 and 12: Chobe National Park to Victoria Falls Today we leave Botswana behind and enter Zimbabwe, home to the mighty Victoria Falls, one of the 7 natural wonders of the world. You have the rest of the day at leisure to partake in one of the many activities on offer. Also we get to see the Victoria Falls on a guided tour through the Victoria Falls National Park. Day 13: End of the tour Your tour ends today and you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport in time for your departing flight. We hope to welcome you again on another of our African adventures. B
