  • Acta Capituli Generalis Electivi – Romæ 2010
ACTA CAPITULI GENERALIS ELECTIVI ORDINIS PRÆDICATORUM ROMÆ A DIE I AD DIEM XXI SEPTEMBRIS MMX SUB FR.

  • Annual Report 2016 – 2017 Letter from the Headmaster
ANNUAL REPORT 2016 – 2017 LETTER FROM THE HEADMASTER THOMAS J. DOHERTY III It is amazing how history repeats itself. Eighty-five years ago the Xaverian Brothers were called upon to open a school just for boys. At that time, Girls Catholic was thriving, but young men from Immaculate Conception Parish in Malden had nowhere to go. Today, Malden Catholic is thriving, and over and over again, parents and alumni have asked us when are we going to “do something for girls.” The genesis for Boys Catholic then is the same as the genesis for Malden Catholic School for Girls now: the need for single-gender Catholic education in the Malden area. Fifty years ago, a massive construction project was underway, right here on Crystal Street. At that time a new building was being created to move our school from its home on Highland Avenue across town. The new home of Malden Catholic has served students well for the past five decades. Recent improvements, thanks to the Essential Campaign, allow us to continue to deliver the best academic experience to today’s young men. Now, another construction project takes place here as we prepare to welcome the inaugural ninth grade class of Malden Catholic School for Girls. It really is amazing how history repeats itself. This is a busy year for us. Launching a new school takes much work from many people. We had the chance to take the easy route. We could have created a co-ed school. This would have been easy, but it would not be the Malden Catholic way.
