★ PUBLIC SERVANT ENDORSEMENT Even though God did not design the institution of government to be the economic engine of a country, He did nonetheless give it the right to tax the economic engine Alex Acosta (cf. Romans 13:1–7) in order to sustain itself. That too is God’s revealed design, but Former U.S. Secretary of Labor it must do so in ways that are just and competitive with other nations of the world. This week let us discover what Scripture says to government regarding taxing the free market. More specifically, what are the five guiding scriptural principles that public servants must take into consideration relative to tax policy formation? To do so is to either prosper or else damage a nation.

May God enlighten you as you study each of these overarching principles that serve to create a nation’s tax policy that He is pleased with—and works best for everyone in the nation.
